Hi we've just decided we're all going to move back to the UK beginning to mid next year but I am feeling stressed already as don't know where to start first! Have house, cars and boat to sell, furniture to ship, dog to sort out too! I think we should put our house up for sale now and rent as could take a while to sell in this market but hubby says no he'd rather just rent for a couple of weeks after house sells so not to put it up yet........ I just feel it would all be too much to do at last minute!!!!!!! Any advice!!!

Hey guys I'm asking for a friend who wants to bring her mum here from the uk she's 86 and has no family in the uk to look after her so they want to bring her here. Any ideas how and easiest/quickest way to get her here. Their daughter is an RN and they know they have to pay all her medical bills which is no problem they just want her here. Is it possible to get her here on a holiday visa then apply for a last remaining family visa but in the mean time get a bridging visa?

What if you've left bank accounts open still in uk and still have a valid uk visa would'nt that count for anything?

We come under Armadale council will be curious to see how long Cannington's citizenship ceremony takes! We've just done our test on the 26th May now just have to wait!

Aubin Grove is in the Atwell College (secondary) catchment area. There is a primary school in Aubin Grove. I'm not sure about fees though as we are permanent residents, we still have fees to pay though and books to buy every year which run in to $400. - $700 depending on year! We now live in Piara Waters it's about 10 minutes from Jandakot! There's a new station being built in Aubin Grive, Drs surgery which is good I go there and Woolworths in Harvest Lakes (next to Aubin). Maybe ring the schools see if they can give you an idea of fees!. My boys moved here when they were 11 and 13 (4 years ago)and settled into Atwell College really well!

Hey dubsydney am I right in saying it took 6 weeks after sending in paper application to get a confirmation? I did a paper application 3 weeks ago was getting a bit worried as everyone else does theirs online!

Hi there we migrated as a family of 4 in 2012 and the cost for us was about 5K british pounds to do all the visa stuff etc and that was for a permanent residency! The dog cost us around 3 1/2 K (but wasnt going to leave her!) And it was a few thousand cant quite remember exactly how much to bring our things over! We also bought our car over which ended up not being as bad as I thought cost wise! My kids were 12 and 14 when we came here and have settled really well!

I flew to Singapore and Bali with Garuda and they were really good! I know they fly to Europe might be worth checking..
