  1. hi guys, what site did you use to check out when your CO was assigned??
  2. congrats to you all. We are still awaiting our CO aswell. also hit with the news last week that our agent has left the company. We have obv been assigned a new agent, but shes not even been in touch yet, so am a bit put off by that, but the process is moving along nicely
  3. I did a WHV and met many people who go alone and just decide where to go depending on who they meet and then change their plans to suit. dont be scared!! people travelling are all in the same boat. all extremely helpful. we met more people as 2 girls than a group of 6. obviously dont abandon all reason, and disappear with people you have just met, but spend time with groups in hostels, and if you like them, go along for the ride!! its an amazing time in your life. take as much cash as you can, but obv you can work in Aus aswell and do everything your heart and mind has ever dreamed you can do!! enjoy, keep us posted!! xxx
  4. eeeeeek is this actually happening!! cant believe its finally happening to us!! it all started, for me 10 years ago with a WHV to aus, its taken me such a long time to get my boyf to aus, then a trip 2 yrs ago had him as in love as me!! Started the whole visa process on Oct 10th 2012 (my sisters 30th birthday and 3 months after finding out my best mate had breast cancer and me deciding life was WAYYYYY to short to waste wondering what if) a migration agent (who is amazing) 3 IELTS tests, many worried moments and telling some family and friends and its getting soooo much closer!! so Much has happened in the past yr, and im sooooo luck that my family are, in general, only telling me positive and happy thoughts for me!!! Looking forward to hearing your stories!!!! Donna, Paul (& Bailey the Springer Spaniel!!) :biggrin::biggrin::biggrin::biggrin:

    Britain is Booming

    house prices up by £10,000...good, cant wait to sell mine and bugger off to Aus
  6. The speaking test is the easy one. I had 9s in all 3 tests (had to resit 3 times, kept failing the written) just speak slowly and clearly. throw in some big words if you can but you shouldnt worry about the speaking. you will fly it. get the additional practise in on the written. the listening and reading are ok aswell, just make sure you pay attention to detail! best of luck, let us know how you go.
  7. so, have now received my invitation to apply for a visa! to say Im beyond excited is an understatement, my partner on the other hand is extremely nervous! hopefulle wont be to much longer now!! but he still hasnt told his folks!!
  8. Ive gone with Thames Migration, and they have been amazing. My agent is called Meilan and he has been such a support so far along and everything has been so fast.

Feeling positive and excited :rolleyes::rolleyes::wink::wink:

  19. Im having the same issues. Even though Im not dyslexic I also need to get 8s in all categories. My third test is booked in June! its just a nightmare. Im getting 9s and 8.5s in all the others so its so upsetting that I keep missing out on the written. I had a 7 the first time, and a 7.5 the last time. Praying I get the big fat 8 that I need this time. Best of luck to you. Keep us posted.
  20. for those of you who say it still doesnt feel real even tho your living there, do you mean that in a good way or a bad one??
  21. I know, I did notice that but didnt know how to edit it on here been really upset today, tears and everything.
  22. This time got an 8.5 in the listening, 8 in the reading, 7.5 in the writing and 9 in the speaking (I need all 8s). Im so upset and confused Any ideas where I can find some good level 8 writing material to look at to get an idea. Also any tips!!????
  23. wow, I cant believe how selfish what hes done is. do you think its cold feet about the move, or was this somthing hes always wanted to do?? The way hes gone about things seems really off to me, so I say you and the kids go. You have a job, go and start your new life. xxx
