Hey all! I've finally made my mind up to go out on a WHV (before I get too old for one!), but won't be for a while yet....probably December next year. Be good to all keep in touch with how our plans are coming along. Must admit though....am a little concerned I'll be almost 30 when I go out....

Haha, some of them are stupidly expensive!! From memory, I think mine was 60 litres, I'll have to check when I get home! Just have to be careful as if you get a really big one, you may struggle with baggage allowance!!

Hey Stacey! When I went travelling I actually brought mine from Argos! Was cheap (around £30) and lasted really well throughout my trip. There are plenty of places you can buy them from (i.e. Millets) but would be best just to search online so you can read reviews etc. One recommendation I would make would be to buy one you can unzip all the way round. I brought one which you could only load at the top and was forever having to take everything out when i needed to get something out of the bottom!!

I stayed at Tinbilly. It's on George Street, so a great location. Would definitely recommend! Looks like it has changed hands now though and is owned by Base Backpackers
