<p>Welcome to Cleveland hun, I am from west Yorkshire originally!!! We have to meet up as our kids are around the same age. Ciara is 12 and went to high school (Kimberley college) in Jan and Ruairi (Rory) is 8 and in Cleveland state altho we are currently looking to move him. Long story and dont want to put you off...he just hasnt settled there. He was quite advanced and was put a year ahead straight away. He is still ahead and they now want to move him up another year so he would be with 10 year olds ( not great) but he is doing his work in 10 mins and then disrupting the class and getting into trouble... Hence the other kids see him as the naughty kid and has found it hard making friends. What year is your son going into? We will have to get the kids together too. Ciara started at Cleveland and settled really quickly, but was only there for one term, but we are friends with a girl in year 7 so may be able to introduce her before she starts (what year is she going into?)</p>

<p>Great pabs. Havnt had a lot of time on here lately, but doing great. Xmas was alittle wierd, but my mum and dad are over so that helped. How are things with u?</p>

<p>We were looking at the Bayside area, but may go aliitle inland to get more for our money, not sure.......we will be staying with terrys uncle in Macgregor for a while so will have plenty of time to explore.</p>

<p>I think he has decided to go into retirement, he hasn't stopped sleeping since he came home! He has put some weight back on and is starting to look like his old self again. Hes a very happy pussy cat! x</p>

<p>She came again yesterday with her sister! She told me that they will defo be putting am offer in as soon as they have had the survey done on thiers next week.</p>

<p>Lets just hope they do and it is a decent offer!!</p>

<p>Had another viewing today, timewasters I think</p>

<p>The ones the other day loved it and have just sold theirs so hope to hear something this week thats if they havn't changed their minds</p>

<p>We have defo decided on Brisbane. Terry spoke to a few agents and they did say that there are more jobs in his field in Sydney, but there are far more people applying for the same job. We spoke to a lady in a Brisbane agency, who used to work for the same firm as Terry in the 90's and she said that she wouldn't have a problem finding him a job in Brissie, and although there are less jobs being advertised there are less people with the relevant qualifications to fill them. </p>

<p>Brisbane has always been our first choice so I am made up that we have made a final decision and we will be close to family.</p>

<p>Terry is going to hand in his notice at the end of April (hes on a 3 month notice) and we are planning to book the flight for August at around that time!</p>

<p>Great news about the reccie!!! I'll bet you can't wait!</p>

<p>No more viewings on the house...2 viewings in 6 weeks...pretty p7ss poor really. I think we have more or less decided to just go for it in August if the house hasn't sold, and leave the house on the market and give my dad the power to sign contracts should we sell. Obviously if it still didnt sell after a further 6 months we would have to put rented in. Terry has been intouch with an agency in London that specialise in ozzie jobs. They reckon that they can get him a job relatively easily and say to alllow about 6-12 weeks after landing....so thats possitive!</p>

<p>We are still anchoring for Brisbane but still havn't ruled out Sydney and Melbourne, although I'm abit put off Melbourne as people say that it can get pretty cold for several months of the year.</p>

<p>We have looked at the Hills area ourselves and looks nice on the internet...you'll have to let me know what you think of it!</p>

<p>Went really well, the guy is in rented and has rented for the last 20 years (moved from London 6 months ago) so effectively a first time buyer. He made all the right noises and said he would defo want to come back for a second look. He also said the my house represented really good value compared to others he had viewed. He defo wants this area, so who knows. It sounds possitive, but you never can tell, he could have just been bullsh7tting me.</p>

<p>Lets see whether he comes back for another look before I get too excited!</p>

<p>The house is officially on the market. Terry contacted a few agencies last week, but the feedback wasn't that great!</p>

<p>They said they wouldn't really consider him for the current roles until we are in the country. Not really what we wanted to hear, but he will phone more and get a wider feedback this week.</p>

<p>It does seem though that the accountancy job market is more bouyant in Sydney. Would still really like Brisbane, but if we are going to have to go out without the security of a job in place then we will have to go where the best chance of work is.</p>

<p>I have been looking at Gosford as it has the train station and looks like its about 1hr 10mins into the CBD, so not bad!</p>
