  1. tania, have you thought of maidenhead? it is 47 miles from us but it is going to save us in excess of £270 to 310 pounds it could be worth you having a day trip down by train if iy will save you well in excess of £400 approx.
  2. Oh if you didnt know you do now this country (UK) rip you off for everything ... Taxes all the way ... admin costs must be high to turn on a computer look up a name press print and send out in the post. £35 pp for a 10 day or £70 pp for a 02 day oh and £7 to post if you want it record or special.
  3. Just looked on the site thank you for the Link you have just lost business for the persons in Brentwood and Knightsbridge but It is amassive saving and ironically it will take just a bit longer to get there.
  4. Wow, £200 per adult all inclusive that will save us £270.00 how far is maidenhead from London? it will be worth the travelling to save over £200 pounds ... that is taking off the extra £20 for daughter and say £50 for fuel.
  5. Will be Knightsbrisdge up London or Brentwood Essex, Manchester could be cheaper but then I have to consider the fuel costs etc.
  6. I am glad I have one under 15 ... got some offering £290 pp one offering 270pp and 95 or 65 for a child under 10 ... only got 3 police checks so thats a tad of luck. Oh and £90 for Hep B.C tests maybe.
  7. Agreed. We are still waiting just been ringing up to find out costs of Medicals £900 is the costs and police checks £1100 in total what a rip off!! BUT worth every penny IF we are successful ... I hope that DIAC have learned not to make people wait so long I fully understand that rules change but it should just be to new apps and all old apps should be ran alongside new one's .....
  8. When you have been waiting since 3 years like us, you will be chilled out. Fingers crossed we ALL will be in OZ by end of the Summer to enjoy the rays!!
  9. We was Cat 5 until 3 weeks ago when we moved up to Cat 3 we applied in Oct 2008, so I do not think your friend is being assessed under Cat 5 circumstances.
  10. I think you are missing the point there are loads of Cat 5's who have SS which is still valid with the applications ... Hairdressers cooks bricklayers etc, who were placed lower due to changes .... they are now back on the lists therefore they will be valid, with there prior given state sponsorship this doesnt have bearing on the new list. If it is open it means there is more space then they have and need. All trades & professions are equally important as each other if needed by the state/country.
  11. why should pre july 2010 of been done ages ago. ?? the rules changed and a lot have suffered through these changes DIAC have been very selective of who they want in maybe now they are relaxing the rules again (maybe) hence why a lot of pre july 2010 are getting a chance .... as good news as it is we will have to wait and see if we get CO's fingers crossed we all do.
  12. I think you might find there is a hell of a lot of pre july 2010 apps who have moved up we are Oct 2008 and I know of some 2007 apps who are moving up also could be 100's if not more.
  13. Western Australia have added quite a few occupations to there new list it seems there is a lot of Cat 5's who are now moving up to Cat 3's does this mean that it will slow down the Cat 4's and lessen the Cat 5's?
