  1. They used to stock no7 boots in david jones but i havnt seen it for a while , when i go to thailand i buy it as its stocked over there and its very cheap as i generally buy one and get one free so it works out very economical
  2. i know midland very well my husband was bought up in swan view / greenmount area , midland has a had a large regeneration program happening and its still going on ,, there is brand new hospital being built , it was always referred to as the gate way to the country , there are some homewest houses there which has given it a bad name and there was alot of flats in midvale that didnt help the flats have been knocked down , as for homes west they are every where butler , a huge amount in quinns etc there is midland tafe , a bus station and the end of the end of the line train station .guildford is five mins away in the car and thats fairly historic for perth lol one of the early settlements , on the weekend you have the midland fruit and veg market on old gt northern hwy , there are two largish shopping centres midland gate , and centre point , there is a cinema complex in midland gate , i worked in midland for years i never had a problem with it . 10 mins drive doen the northern hwy or west swan rd you have the vineyards and you have some lovely walks down by the river at viveash
  3. check out around swanview , greenmount , viveasch, dont know if your budget will stretch to bassendean might be worth a look

  5. 2300 seems about right for rent in those areas but have i got it right [ utilities,car costs, food shopping, activities etc totalling $2700 per month.] so thats 400 a month for food car and utliities , thats got to be wrong you may even get cheaper rent in those areas than what you have quoted but you wont do every thing else for 400 , i only use my car to go from oceanreef to wanneroo to work plus the odd trip to beaumaris shops to get milk and i go through 45.00 a week thats 180 a month half your budget

  8. doubt you will get a cash loan from a bank , maybe a visa card ? if you apply for that you can use it how you see fit, although the intrest is high you could always apply for one of those deals advertised where you move your balance over to another bank for really low intrest for a year
  9. i used to bring cash back from singapore when hubby worked there some times up to 30 grand a time , i just declared it on the customs form it was no problem . to be honest its safer for you to bank transfer which is what i mostly did occasionally it was more convenient to bring it back when i travelled

  11. state school is free in WA up to a point you still have books , uniforms , etc
  12. do you have a diploma or a degree ? actually im no expert but i was under the impression for engineering you have to go through the australian insititute of engineers and put your qualifications forward to see if they recognise them and if you need to do any more courses to satisfy them
  13. i had a lovely email on the first aniversary of my mothers death , i was having a bad day opened my email to find the message , i was so amazed that they would remember the date , let alone what happened , there are some really thoughful beautiful people out there xxx
  14. well i would say in butler your proberly looking at rent of 380 to 500 depending on size of house depending on where you work to petrol bill , i live in oceanreef and i drive to wanneroo for work and i put in 30 dollars a week more if im doing more kms
  15. if you go on http://www.relaestate.com.au and go to the rental section you can look under canningvale , if you go and look under buying it should show surrrounding areas to give you an idea of suburbs close by , you will be looking south of the river xx

  17. I earn $26.00 an hour casual rates hairdressing so no sick or holiday pay , i have my set days / hours so i prefer being on casual rates
  18. my son went to Telford for the first time xmas 2010 and he said the same thing funnily enough girls with prams every where, girls and lads with heavy facial tatoos so they wont have to work as no one will employ them as they look to scarey , i havnt lived there for thirty years so im sure things have changed a lot xx

  21. i have friends in east guildford , and when the planes go over you can count the rivetts on the plane but funnily enough you dont hear loud noises i dont know if it creates some kind of vacum where you dont hear the noise ?? , it was the same when i lived in high wycombe you could see the planes but rarely heard them
