  1. not 100% sure but knowing this place you need a certificate for everything so you might need a food hygiene certificate and have your kitchen inspected to make sure it comes up to standard for preparing food.

    Can't believe it

I thought that was ages ago and you came back?
  3. What he said. Depending on where you live you could be more than half that on rent, then shopping for 4 could be around $200, bills, petrol etc wouldnt be much left to do anything!
  4. The process has changed since we did it but you need to get your skills assessed and submit an EOI first before you can apply for a PR visa. Once you have a visa, you still have to gain your Electrical Licence in whatever state you go to, they all have their own licence with different exams etc, it can be a very long process! You could work as a Trade Assistant until you get your licence. To be honest I really dont know why Electrician is still on the skills list as there are so many licenced electricians here already without jobs and its getting very hard to get a decent job.
  5. As long as you get here before it runs out your ok! I get the waiting on her exams but I wouldnt be risking my visa on waiting for a school prom - just my opinion of course
  6. Maybe you should have said that then, sorry dont know anything about transfers maybe someone else will.
  7. Labour hire companies cannot guarantee you a visa! Visas are issued by DIBP. You will not be a Permanent Resident, this kind of visa is temporary for 4 years, have a look here http://www.immi.gov.au/skilled/on-hire-industry.htm Please be careful there are some dodgy Labour Hire companies!
  8. It a short term rental so probably a furnished holiday let? I have always had to pay upfront for them both in Victoria and Perth.
  9. Thats just pure laziness! If they cant be bothered to get changed out of PJ's have they bothered to get washed?
  10. People buy houses any old state in Perth so I wouldnt waste any money doing them up here, depending on the area you can pay the same for a sh*thole or a palace!
  11. You cant force them to write you a good reference no matter how much legal advice you take. Mistakes do happen and I am sorry you lost your job, if you cause too much upset, they may refuse a reference altogether! Have they always been happy with your work previously, did this mistake give them an excuse to get rid of you within your probation if they were not happy with you previously? Maybe they have to take action if the parents have found out and are putting pressure on the hospital, I know I would not be happy if someone gave my child the wrong medication and I would want answers.

    please help!!

I agree with the last couple of posts. Also it does not help people trying to encourage you to go for unfair dismissal and to take legal advice, this is giving you false hope that you can win a case against your employer when there actually is not one to win. Yes you made a mistake (unfortunately during your probation period) so it is easy for your employer to let you go.
  13. Your visa was granted in September 2012 so will be valid till September 2017, you might make it to go and come back while still valid!
  14. Why was it essential in the UK? We have never tipped (money). Give them a six pack to share out once the job is finished! Do you get tipped to do your job?
  15. We did the same brought the UK bought printer over. Had to buy a new one here, even though the printers are the same model the cartridges are different, bit of a con really but never mind. The printers are really cheap anyway. Watch where you buy the ink. You think places like Big W and Kmart will be cheap but sometimes they have the prices right up, one time I paid $24 for black and $30 for colour in Kmart, and then found them round the corner in the newsagents for $16 for black and $24 for colour!
  16. I phoned DIBP and asked that question, they said the person signing could also sign a Stat dec to say they hadnt known you for a year but it was definately you. Give them a call
  17. Sorry, i wouldnt call it wear and tear, you left the window open so I would think you would have to replace them
  18. Have you actually asked her what she wants to do? If she is making plans to be a teacher maybe she is quite happy to live in England.
  19. You will also have to pay port and customs clearance charges at the other side if your are sending it cargo.
  20. Sorry but not good news, I think it has been taken of the list for sponsorship in WA.
  21. I think you will find it very hard to find a sponsor as an electrician. Companies now have to prove they have advertised locally first and there will be so many tradies already looking for a job.
  22. Stacey - you have got a dirty mind!
  23. I have never heard that either, most of the kids have backpacks and that's what they call them or just simply bags
  24. does it matter about 24hr shopping? how often did you go shopping at 3am? Kmart is open 24 hrs in Melbourne, supermarkets don't charge for bags here except Aldi, and not all shops are shut on holidays usually just the small independent ones,
  25. Things have changed so much since my OH got his licence so I cant really help with what to do, but as you already have a visa I don't think you need to go through vettassess, they assess for migration purposes not licencing. You will still need an ARTC. That used to be almost the same as applying to the TRA (before vettassess) but with even more information.
