Cat 5's to Cat 3's Timeline

Chris N Lora

Recommended Posts

Due to the recent movement of some applications, I thought I would start a thread to help those who are moving from cat 5 to cat 3.

This may help as a guidline to those awaiting CO's.

Good luck to you all

This will give us Cat 4's a good idea on how fast the DIAC are working too.

Thank you waitingtogotooz! I also happened to notice that DIAC have quoted a processing time frame of 12 months and 24 months for LR and HR Cat 3 applicants respectively. Wonder if that's applicable to us (Pre July 2010) applicants as well!

We r going to maidenhead was reading the posts on cat 4 and that seemed to be cheapest. Our co has requested that our children do medicals as the age they r now not when we applied, so going to cost us a bit more. I noticed that another member did not have to do that, they were allowed to take the age of the meds for the date of application. Never mind i'm not going to argue it not after the wait we have had.

Guest garynhelen

Just wondered if it might be useful to include whether you were state sponsored before the changes or whether you are a new ss applicant and in which state?

We are June 2009 176 family sponsored (currently cat 5) but due to the new WA SMP we have applied for SS so are waiting the outcome.

Probably not really relevant to this timeline. I'm just hoping to be able to join it soon!!!
