The same case with us, ours are in received status since December 30th, 2013. Last time (back in 2012), when we appeared for our medicals the status immediately changed to referred on receipt, however, it's been almost 14 days but the status is still showing as received. Does anybody know, what the turnaround times for medical finalization these days?

Mine with my family took 7 days from received to finalize ans then 2 more working days to grant.....

If referred - it will take 1.5 to 2 months

If all Ok then - it will take 7-10 days ..... one thing you can check with IOM staff about your grading - if you were given Grade A then it means all Ok if B then it means there were a little bit problem which cause your medical being referred.... but at the end all will be fine....

Recentlysome people got visa grant within days after medical finalization while some had to be patient for more than a month after finalization. I hope this is not the case but around a year ago when people medicals were referred for more than two months. Is this somewhat same to it or I am completely wrong.

Update on Australian job market: guyz market is picking up. Many different govt projects are in progress/ about to start. For those who plan on coming later this yr, guyz Jan and Feb is a good month as companies start fresh hiring! I suggest start applying 1 month before landing and use linkedin aggressively.
