Hey man, I am sorry you been waiting over 1000 days, I am in a same boat I applied for partner visa onshore back in Jan 2012 and it has been 742 days since the application was submitted and I still haven't received any update from Immigration. Do you know anyone else who have waited over 2 years and received it eventually? Just curious what the maximum time frame. It sucks!!

SMShoaib
28 jan On 28th of Jan, you CO would have checked your file and updated your PCC requirements however your medicals is finalized today which is updated by the DIBC medical section but your CO wouldn't have checked your file. As soon as he will check your file, he will write Grant Notification Inshaa Allah. As TauseefAhmed said, your grant is at your doorstep. Be ready for sleepless weekend

047
Bro, when you contacted your CO last time and what was his reply? On the third attempt from my migration agent, my CO replied, which is; Thank you for your email. The Department recognises that the time taken to process your client’s application may be causing your client concern. We are seeking to process your client’s application as soon as possible. You will appreciated, however, that all non-citizens applying for visas to enter Australia are considered on an individual basis and against legal requirements set out in Australia’s migration legislation. This often includes requirements that all applicants undertake and meet health, character and national security checks that are undertaken by other agencies; and this can take some time. The timing for the completion of the checks varies from one case to another, depending on individual circumstances. Unfortunately I am unable to provide you with a definitive timeframe for finalisation of your client’s application. I understand your concerns and you can be assured that the department will do all we can to ensure that your client’s application is finalised as quickly as possible. I don't really have much of a timeline, I am already in Australia and been living here since 2006. I applied for visa on 20 Jan 2012 DIAC requested more info related to Form 80 in Jan 2013 DIAC didn't request Med/PCC but I submitted them in May 2013 anyway. Now I am just waiting..... Hope you get your visa soon as I know how frustrating it can be. Regards, Kash

My other friends and other people got grant much earlier, before 6 to 7 month. My mistake was that, I was not at all following my application and cost me that much time. Word of advice 'Keep pinging your CO occasionally' I Pray that all waiting people get their grant soon and start the journey what they have planned before.
