If you are able to make the cut without her additional 5 points, then I wouldn't go that path of partners point. It will take time, money and alot of effort. If you are makingg enought points then I would suggest lodge your application now, before DIBP increases visa fee in July.

It is a good idea but an expensive one. With PR you get the fees of local students as opposed to otherwise international students. As far as I have read you may not be eligible for student loan or may be scholarships if you are a PR. If one can afford then it is better you top-up your qualifications with an Aussie masters.

Yes therr are hotels at the airport itself and you can pay by hours. 5 to 6 hours at an international airport is not much and you can spend time by roaming here there and then when you get tired just sleep for the rest of time.

However, I got my tickets from Qantas Karachi Office for Rs 44,630/- (Karachi to Sydney - One way) Karachi to Bangkok - Cathay Pacific Bangkok to Sydney - Qantas Bro have you got your tickets at 44k? Because I checked the site and it shows 44k but when you proceed further it includes taxes and after that one-way trip mounts to 75k. Can you confirm please...

Guys, i feel if you are flying from Lahore than thai it tickets thru IOM are not a bad option. If you are OK with longer transits and 2,3 transfers from Lahore than Cathy is a cheap option. The rate comparison is almost half but comes with the downfalls of very less allowed baggage. 23kg is actually nothing if you have a few suites or jackets and a couple of shoes. IOM gives 40kg weight option which is good and only 2 transits, if I am not mistaken. So all depends on individual preferences here I reckon. Suggestions are welcome though.

good prices but the transit times are usually 7 to 10hrs. What is the baggage allowance? Any idea? If they allow 30 it is fine.
