How long for medicals to be marked as finalised?

we got our medicals request on 20th june; only the main page of online status changed, unfortunately despite having eHealth clinic we couldnt use that facility because my wife was travelling out in two days time. Medicals were sent through courier and received adelaide on 27th June. Case officer was least bothered to refer my medicals to HOC before 28 days of timeline i believe, so she referred our medicals on 22nd July to HOC; status changed to Medicals referred the same day. Took a little more than 2 weeks to get visa grant email on 8th August.

Hi if you contact your medical centre they will be able to give you the tracking number and with that you can track online where the documents are and if anybody has signed for them yet in Australia

Its absolutely fine if ur medicals r referred. They will send it to doctors to review ur medical reports in Health Operation Center. Hopefully u will be getting good news soon.

Me and my wife both were referred and got visa grant notification in two weeks time after referral.

Good Luck

My medicals show status as 'referred' on 24 Aug, 2011. Could anyone tell me what is the current time taken for medicals to change from 'referred' to 'finalized'?

Yepee! Finally the medicals have arrived. I am so relieved.

I looked at the online status and it shows my husband and Kids finalized an myself referred.

Can someone explain me what this mean? Is something not okey with my medicals?

From my previous experience of medicals, in my opinion, medical of your entire family has been finalized.

Are you sure? On our document checklist my whole family is "met" exept of my medicals. It still shows "required". I am overweight so I am really worried!:arghh:

Hi Miguel

I have similar case. May I know what are the additional reports other than the school that you send? I mean, do we need to send the kid to the Denver/Griffith test? What kind of full psychological testing are they indicating?

I am trying to understand what kind of test /report format that will be needed

All of my family members (and me) were "finalised" and "met" except my daughter. She was required for further medicals. DIAC sent me this letter:

===============================================

Client ID: XXXXXXXX

Dear Panel Doctor,

The bearer of this letter, XXXXXXXXXXX, DOB:

09/XX/2006, F is required to provide further medical information

(details given below).

Please include the following information:

A current further assessment from a specialist Paediatrician and/or

Clinical Psychologist is required regarding applicant's cognitive and

developmental status.

Please forward a further report addressing history, diagnosis, full

details of psychological testing, developmental milestones (such as

Denver or Griffiths scale) and a formal developmental age/IQ assessment.

If a school or preschool report is available please forward this.

Please indicate the ability to perform activities of daily living (for

her age).

The report should address the need for special schooling and the

prognosis for independent living.

The report must be sealed by you, the Doctor, stamped and signed, then

sent from your clinic to the Global Health (GH) at the following address:

Global Health

Department of Immigration and Citizenship

Level 3, 26 Lee Street

SYDNEY NSW AUSTRALIA 2000

===============================================

I have to show this letter to Panel Doctor in my City and send the results to HOC again.

28/05/2012 Further medical result received

09/05/2012 HIV blood test required

The ehealth clinic told me they sent my tests online on 25 May. I wanted to know does the above tell me my medical is being processed. I saw people's medical change to referred and then "finalized". My HIV blood test status is 'required' and not received. I am getting a bit confused whats happening if I am to be honest!

Please let me know what do u think of this. What should I expect ?

Thank you

Hi,

The timeline looks a bit confusing as it says that your Meds were finalized on the 9th but your clinic sent them on 25th.

Best to get in touch with HOC as they take care of offshore Meds - http://www.immi.gov.au/allforms/pdf/hoc-visa-class-list.pdf
