I have a CO at last! Now for medicals and police checks, any idea how far in advance they are booking for?

There are so many panel doctors in UK and you may select soonest date with any doctor. I think you can request UK police certificate via online. May be this link helps you

http://www.acpo.police.uk/NationalPolicing/ACROCriminalRecordsOffice/PoliceCertificates.aspx

Good Luck !

Last Friday, I sent a PLE enquring about the status of Form 1100. Then DIAC forwarded this PLE to Team 7, and I got a reply from team7 officer. I guess a CO has been assigned to my case.

Just wondering how long am I supposed to wait before getting an email from CO asking for further documents like Medicals,PCC?

Hi Redprimrose

Usually they say you should wait at least 6 weeks after you have been assigned a CO. The team takes a while while they check through all the new applications they have been assigned before handing them onto the Team's CO. They will check through that you have everything so that he can contact you and tell you what else is needed.

how did you "guess" that a CO has been assigned?

can you please post the email you received from team 7 (after removing personal info of course)

thank you

hi buddy,

here's the email

Thank you rose

I've sent an online inquiry at 1-may-2011, asking them to confirm receiving form 1100

next day I got a reply (with a Cc to team 6) that my inquiry has been forwarded to a case officer and that they will contact me "shortly"

I still did not hear anything from team 6 confirming if they've actually received the 1100, I think I will wait more few days before asking them -again- to confirm it.

In my view if you have got an email from a Team with a number then you are in a COs pile.

Each of the different individual Teams work for under a specific CO - so your CO's will be the Team 6 / Team 7 CO's

So to me it looks as if you are in the Teams pile and they are working on your application. DIAC say give them at least 6 weeks after getting a CO before asking them for more info.

Looking good for both of you.

Thank you Lieutenant :)

in the automated reply from gsm.processing@immi.gov.au

they say a priority 2 applicant should get a CO within a week from the day DIAC receives form 1100.

in my case it has been a month since VIC sent the 1100 to DIAC and still no CO, nor any other sign

maybe I am mistaken, but to me it meant one thing: DIAC did NOT receive my 1100

till the moment they did not acknowledge receiving it, and in fact I did not receive any communication at all from team6

if they acknowledged receiving from 1100, I'll be more than happy to wait 6 weeks (as instructed) heck I will wait 10 weeks :)

I only want them to say: Yes we got your 1100, or No we did not get your 1100

anyway, knowing that they are under pressure, I will wait more few days before asking again if they've received my 1100

best luck to all poms :)

I too got a reply for PLE (with CC to an officer of team7). The officer, who I guess is my CO, sent me another reply (posted above).

In my view, there's no need to worry about Form 1100 since your case has been assigned to team6. That means DIAC has already confirmed that you app is in CAT 2. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Maybe it will take days or weeks for CO to contact us......

well, the person who replied my inquiry sent a "copy" of the email to team 6

I don't think this means my application has been assigned to them.

DIAC employees who answer such inquiries are "first line support", the equivalent of a "phone operator" when you call a big company or a government agency.

they "dispatch" the calls (or emails) but they don't have the authority of "assigning" tasks to others, it is just not part of their role.

on top of that, team 6 never sent saying they've got my 1100

there is an automated email service, send a blank email to gsm.processing@immi.gov.au and they will reply you with the current processing timelines, I have just did and latest update from them is:

Priority 2 State Migration Plan:

*Priority 2 applications are currently being allocated within a week of DIAC receiving confirmation of a valid nomination from the relevant State/ Territory Government. As a result applicants are encouraged, where possible, to provide decision ready Priority 2 applications to facilitate more efficient processing and finalisation of these applications.

Applications lodged before the following dates are currently being considered by a case officer:

Skilled – Sponsored (Migrant) subclass 176

VE 176 (e-lodged): 27 April 2011

VE 176 (paper): 8 April 2011

for me it has been a month, and still no CO, and no sign that DIAC received my 1100 form from VIC

there has been incidents where 1100 forms were lost, and applicants waited and waited to discover after couple of months that DIAC did not receive their 1100

I don't want the same happening to me

I am only asking DIAC to acknowledge receiving the 1100, and let them take there time with the CO

What redprimrose says makes sense to me - if you got an email reply from a Team then it seems to me you have a CO

Good luck Buddy I am sure you will hear more soon.

We were allocated to Team 6 also - on the online system don't worry of your document status never changes - ours still says everything is required.

The Team CO was a nice guy.

Hi again Buddy

Also take a look at the info Connie updates on the first post of this thread - it really is useful for guaging what is happening.

You will see that no April applicants have heard from a CO yet...

Some in March haven't yet either. Think of it a bit like VIC SS they say 12 weeks but the reality is that is just a number to give you an idea.

I imagine the COs are very stretched at the moment trying to get through all the applications and maybe it will take longer than 6 weeks from the date DIAC say you are likely to get a CO.

And I really think you have as CO If you you have Team 6 written anywhere on your email - even if they are just copied in - otherwise why would they be?

Mine is Team 6 also  I was asked for Form 80 on 1st Feb, submitted on 25th Feb by agent and now waiting for any contact ever since :daydreaming: . Agent has already front loaded the Pcs and we have done the meds although we had not been asked to provide yet. Agent do not want to contact them before 3 month since he uploaded my Form 80.

The delay is probably because I am from HR country. Hope they are busy doing the clearance stuff and good news is just around the corner

The Team CO was a nice guy.

exactly, redprimrose received 2 replies:

1st: from the "operator" with a CC to team 7

2nd: from Team 7 Saying: we've got your 1100 (and this implies a CO is assigned)

I only received the first message, and I hope I will get the 2nd soon :)
