  1. You will get 3 times the pay in Dubai if you have an Australian, European or American (Canadian/USA) passport, for the same job. So for the Australians, it makes sense to go to Dubai & work. Where as Pakistanis, Indians & Bangalis are treated and paid even less than the other central-asian or south-american countries. I believe this is height of racism. So the best option is to come to Oz, get Australian passport, go to the middle-east and exploit their own bloody racist rule against them
  2. You will get over the feeling soon as you get busy in preparations for the move. Before it was just the wait game and everything depended on the CO, which was frustrating. Now a lot depends on us for this move to be successful, so a lot of planning, hard work and dedication is needed.
  3. Plan is to settle in South Australia. But I am not sure where to go for validation trip. Probably I will go to Sydney for the visa validation, because flights are cheaper for Sydney. Later in June/July when I move permanently then I will go to Adelaide.
  4. Hi Guys, Today I opened POI after a long time. Its great to see that lots of us have been granted visas and best of luck to those who are still waiting. Regarding my case I had got the grant on 20th Dec 2011 with initial entry date before 30/03/2012. Currently in Am in Brussels so, I had sent my and my wife's passport to the nearest Australian Visa office in Berlin on 2nd Feb. I called them today & they told me that they have received my passport and have stamped the visa today. They will send it back tomorrow. So probably I will receive it on Friday or start of next week. I have not booked my flights yet but planning to book it in a week. I plan to make a validation trip on 15th March & return on 23rd March. Then the final move will be in June/July.
  5. Hello Friends, Sorry I have not been active on the forum for the last week because although I am in Pak now on vacations but I have 2 exams coming on 10th & 12 of January. So, I am very occupied in the preparations and worried because " nahi parha meinay poora saal.... aab kia hoga mera haal....D aiga E aiga bach na paoonga iss baar " :embarrassed::embarrassed: please pray for my exams guys....Regarding moving to Australia, I have to make the 1st trip to OZ before 30 march, so I have decided that instead of going for a validation trip initially & then moving permanently later, I will resign from my current job in Feb & then come back to Pak in start of March & move to OZ in mid March for good. Also I have decided not to do the visa stamping on my passport from Pakistan, because my vacations are ending in 20 Jan and if I do not get the passport back in time then it could delay my flight to Hungary. So, instead I will get the visa stamped on my & wife's passport from Australian consulate in Budapest after 20th Jan. I think they d not take much time (actually I have heard that they give back the passport the very same day).
  6. Thanks a lot Usman .... I am grateful to you because you always gave me hope whenever I was frustrated :notworthy:
  7. Hi Ezy, Congrats on your grant! May God see you through in your endeavor in Australia. Please, can you tell me which date you did your PCC and Medicals and which dates you submitted same? I want to know as I did my PCC on 18/2/11 and yet uptil now no med call is received, whether I will be asked to redo or they extend mine if entry date is just few weeks Thanks Hello Koko, I submitted 3 PCCs for 3 different countries. 1st PCC was obtained in Dec 2010, 2nd was obtained in Feb 2011 & 3rd was obtained in March 2011. All 3 of them were submitted in March 2011. I did my meds in April and they reached DIAC on 5th May. My initial entry date is before 30 March, so the date of initial entry date do not match with any of the dates of my PCC & med. But I believe that if you do not hear from the CO for 1 year after you submit your PCC he will ask for it again once it is expired and if your CO asks for med before 1 year then he will not ask for your PCC again, then he will give you the initial entry date based on your med date.
  8. Oh sorry...I didn't mean it...but I am so excited....wish you good luck shahzad and hipe that you too get it within this week.
  9. In my case it was neither. I submitted 3 PCCs of 3 countries, one was issued in Dec 2010, 2nd was issued in Feb 2011, 3rd was issued in March 2011. The meds were done in mid of April. The entry date is before 30 March.
  10. Thanks Jimm, You are also not very far now. I think the next one is Ali Bajwa & you.
  11. Thanks, Yes the real test begins now but this will not be as frustrating as the wait. Because now I can plan myslef, before I was waiting in darkness at the mercy of DIAC. Now its up to me how I manage and plan. Yes I will be permanently moving in March. My job scenario is very complex. I am an employee of a company based in Hungary but currently I was on an assignment in Angola for last 2 years. The assignment has finished and now, I am going to Pak on 22nd for vacations till 20 Jan. On 20 Jan I will go back to my home organization in Budapest, but they have already assigned me to another project in Brussels (1 month project starting from 25th Jan till end of Feb). My plan is to complete this new project in Brussels, come back to Budapest in 1st week of March & then give the resignation and come back to Pak in 2nd week of March. Ans the fly to Aus in 3rd week of March. Its quite a strict schedule but DIAC has not given me enough time , I have to make the 1st entry before 30 March:cute:
  12. Thanks wensmal. I am very excited. I have to make the 1st entry before 30 March & I have to manage a lot of things in that time. So, very excited & planning all the details
  13. Thanks Ali. 1 month does not mater much. One of my friend was lagging 1 month from me but he got his visa 1 month before me. So, Just have faith in Allah & start your preparations. The grant can be any time.
  14. Thanks theworm. I hope your visa process does not move as slow as your PIO nick suggests :cute: . Keep faith in Allah & you will get it soon inshAllah.
  15. InshAllah and thak you very much! May Allah help you in getting your speedy visa grant.
  16. Thanks wensmal for the sweet wishes. You will also get it soon. Just hold on, don't loose hope & pray to God.
  17. Thanks Millie! I wish you too get yours soon
  18. Oops...I couldn't resist & tried again before going to sleep & guess what: Visa has been granted :jiggy::jiggy::jiggy: After a wait for 13 months (since visa lodgement) and more than 2 years in total for the complete process (including skill assessment, IELTS & then State sponsorship) today I have got the visa granted. :jiggy::jiggy:. I just checked my online status & it says that applicant approved for both primary & secondary applicant. The initial entry date is before 30 March. Agent would have received the email which he would forward me tomorrow morning. I am so happy today and also thankful for all PIO members who supported me and gave me hope through this long waiting period. My love and best wishes to all of you guys.
