Hi. Could someone tell me how big is Geelong say compared to London or is it half size of the UK lol.

According to Wikipedia (my bible) London is 659 sq miles and Geelong is 478 sq miles. Obviously, London has a much greater density and population. Somebody on here said it felt like living in a large town than a city but i'm sure a Geelong resident will be along sooner or later to give their views and will try and give you a feel for the place or a comparable town/city.Natalie x

I think they maybe meant population but that is incorrect-current population is 207,000.

2006 census said 160,991 with an annual increase of about 2000 pa so should be somewhere around the 170,000 mark. So you are looking at a city about the size of York or Portsmouth for comparison. However areawise it does tend to spread somewhat.

Hi - I have only been once, a week ago, but compared to London it seemed tiny. It feels like a medium-large sized town. Not City like at all.

BTW, I liked it, very nice, just too far of a commute for my husband to CBD.
