Visa Granted Meny thanks Gollywobbler you are the best!!

Finally got my visa after a bumpy ride.

All was going well up to the point when I was about to send my 175 visa off to DIAC, when the Agent I was using wanted more money, and also decided to tell me out of the blue that I did not have enough points and I needed to do the IELTS test

Then SUPERRR SUPER Gill (Gollywobbler) came along and gave me priceless amount of advice. She suggested trying for state sponsorship which I did.

I would also like to thank Gary for helping me with the State sponsorship, who I have regular contact with via phone. Cheers mate.

When state sponsorship was approved I sacked my agent and submitted the application on my own. It turns out it was the best move I ever did.

I would advise anyone get an agent to do the first part, and send application off to DIAC yourself. If I can do it so can you.

Now for the meds, My wife failed the x-ray it showed she had a enlarged heart and we had to see a specialist. 12 week wait on NHS, or next day go private, so £500 private it was. It turns out she did not have an enlarged heart BUT a leaking heart valve (sounds worse to me). Specialist said its nothing to bad just needs to monitored every 12months.

Then today looked at DIAC site and their it was Visa Granted no pre warning and no case officer.

Gill you are the best and if I lived by you I would take you out for a big slap up meal THANKYOU SO MUCH For all you valuable information.

Hi Phil

This was incredibly quick, considering that you had a meds scare as well? When did you submit the visa application?

BIG congratulations, however. You did the work by yourself, Phil, with Gary's help.

What news of Gary n's visa?

Cheers

Gill

Hi again Phil

I must have been blind when I read your first post! I didn't spot your timeline.

Yours must be the quickest State Sponsored 176 visa I've seen, though - less than 4 months, which is brilliant. Let's hope that Gary gets the same CO and gets his visa next week.

You must have been gobsmacked when you checked your application today?

Cheers

Gill

Hi Cal & Fiona

I literally did not do anything. Phil was worried about the IELTS and he is a brickie who is settled on wanting to move to Perth. Gary n is a plumber with identical plans. Twinsmom65's (Karen's) Hubby is a welder and they also wanted Perth.

Tha actual sequence of events was that some months ago, Karen was fretting about looking for a 457 visa sponsor. Alan Collett murmured to her that a State Sponsored 176 would get Karen round the problem that her Hubby refused to attempt the IELTS.

Karen did not register Alan's advice immediately and continued to worry. So I stepped in and reminded Karen of Alan's advice. Karen then scythed through it like a hot knife through butter and reported that it was not too difficult.

So when Gary and then Phil (and Mark) all found themselves worrying about the IELTS next, it was not too difficult for me to say, "The State Sponsored 176 avoids the need for the IELTS and it seems to be working well for Karen, so why not investigate copying her? Here are the relevant links."

All four of them have done absolutely everything else by themselves with a hand from each other occasionally. None of the credit is down to me because I simply made sure that the relevant info was circulated, which is one of the things that this forum is for.

The credit actually rests with Alan Collett because it was his idea in the first place.

Cheers

Gill
