KTT
Hi There Wondering if there is anyone else sharing our circumstances - I'm British, Husband is a Kiwi (still has a Kiwi passport), looking to relocate to Melbourne. Ideally I wouldn't work for the first year (looking to focus on getting the kids settled, aged 7 and 4). Husband, would most certainly start a business of his on (Management Consultancy). Any tips /experiences shared greatly appreciated. KTT
MaggieMay24
Welcome to the forum! This section is for visas, so if you have any question in that regard (you would probably need a 461 and unless the children are also NZ citizens they would be included in your application to get visas as well). For questions on Melbourne, try the Victoria section... https://www.pomsinoz.com/forum/14-victoria/ where you may find information more specific to living in that part of the country.
Marisawright
We did have someone recently who was in the same situation. She found it very stressful, because it turns out the Kiwi spouse visa takes several months to be processed, and she found life on the bridging visa difficult. However I think that was mainly because she wasn't allowed to work, and that wouldn't be a problem for you. Melbourne is expensive by Australian standards (though still much cheaper than Sydney).
