Elliot Tsao Posted June 9, 2017 Share Posted June 9, 2017 Hi all, This is my 2nd post on the forum (1st post was about RSMS 187 visa, 2.5 yrs ago) Date applied : 16/04/2017 City/Council area: City of Banyule (I live in Macleod, this suburb is managed by both City of Banyule and City of Darebin, I actually not sure which council I belong to, Banyule may be right one) Online / Paper : Online Date Test Invitation arrived: Still waiting... Date of the Citizenship Test: Still waiting... Date received Approval Letter: Still waiting... Date Ceremony invitation received: Still waiting... Date of ceremony: Still waiting... Type of ceremony (Urgent/Normal): Normal Note: I applied for citizenship online, 16 Apr, before 'New Policy' on and after 20 Apr. It should be operated under the old policy. But I am not sure if new policy and immigration department staff cuts influence my case and increase waiting time? My Mel friends told me: In Mel, wait 4 around 10 mths is normal. 2 mths to wait 4 a test notification is minimum. Y I move Mel from Perth, before getting a citizenship. Ps, from another forum (Chinese forum) someone told me that his friend online applied 11 Apr and just received test email few days ago (early-Jun).
