If someone else wants a go at organising a meeting for manchester, crack on....................at least we will turn up when we say. Disapointed Chris Hi Chris Im so sorry for you that no-one turned up, that must have been so disappointing after all the effort you put into it. I am from Liverpool so didnt feel I warranted coming to your meet. If you make one a bit closer to us maybe in between the two cities, I will come along, as long as the date is free in our diary. Lived there until coming here to Oz in Jan 07. Have great memories of growing up there.... but even returning whilst I only lived 50 miles away it had changed so much. My dad still lives there. With a remark like that how did you not expect to offend? Yes, it was bad manners for people not to show up rather than cancel. However, as Gothic Queen pointed out, you do not know everyone's circumstances as to why they didn't show up and didn't cancel either. For example, car broke down on way, news of a bereavement on way, accident on way. So rather than proceed with potentially offensive remarks, please think before you post that way you are less likely to offend. Thank you. We were a bit dissapointed but it is common for public chat forums like this to arrange something and members agree, untill they realise they have to get of there sofa and join in. Im all up for organising a meet up if people are interested, first weekend we could do is 9th/10th August as Im going away on Thursday until the 4th August Let me know who wants to come and Ill organise a venue, let me know also if you want to bring kids or not............. have a fab place in mind if no kids, but can easily sort something else out if you want to bring the little darlings.....
