Hi, I am compiling a list of paperwork that we might need in the U.K. before our container arrives so needs to go in with our luggage. Please feel free to add anything I have missed:

Birth certificates

Marriage certificate

NHS cards

UK tax info NI number etc

Children's immunisation records

1 year of school reports

Last year of Australian tax return

Evidence of no claims for contents, building and car insurance

Rabies certificate (dog, not us!!)

Container insurance certificate

Shipping info and contacts

UK driving licences including paper section

All passports (!!!)

Evidence of deposits from house sale to our U.K. bank.

If you think of anything else let me know. Thanks!

Yes, going the other way I left our mortgage payment statements in the container....with no rental record in the UK they would have been useful ;)

Have you also requested copies of your own and children's medical and dental records to take with you - I am doing this as I have some knee issues and need the history for future use. Just thought I'd mention that.

Thanks for the list though - so much easier if you can learn from others.

Hi @Martinbjulieb yes you have entitlement to your medical and dental records - if you run into any issues they can't withhold them and don't think you will. Most Dr's tend to have electronic records these days anyway so can be downloaded onto stick. Given you are moving overseas it's not because you don't want to use that practice anymore so hopefully you will get access without any issues.

Definitely get your vet records too - just makes easier when explaining your past history.

Hope you get some interest in the home over the weekend.

Do you have a dropbox, google drive or equivalent then upload copies to there as a backup just in case.

Also opticians records, if you or the family wear specs.

Maybe, and I do not think this required for the UK, a full list of the items you are shipping and any receipts/invoices you may still have.
