Toots
It's a sunny, breezy day here. 15C Tulip farm on the north west Tassie coast. Lots of Asian tourists arriving to see them.

Skani
Max temperature for this October so far in Devonport is 1.2 above average - so not too shabby.

We get that sharp wind from the north west which really is quite chilly. Most days it's colder in the afternoons than first thing in the morning as the wind gets up about noon. Toots
It was 7C when I was out and about earlier and it's predicted to rise to the balmy heights of 13C later. The mist had settled in the low lying areas and over the water. Rain forecast for tomorrow.
Toots
After me moaning about the chilly weather it reached 21C in Devonport today and it was perfect. Not a cloud in the sky with a very slight breeze. Not going to last long though as showers are forecast for the weekend.
Toots
It was a lovely sunny morning. Now it is belting down with rain.
Toots
This colder weather seems to have lasted longer this year but today is forecast to be 21C. One or two more days of this and it will be good for a swim in the sea.
Toots
It's to be a wet weekend here in Devonport. Quite happy about that as I've just planted loads of seedlings in the flower border and tubs.
Toots
It has been really cold and wet here in Devonport the last few days but in the central highlands of Tassie there has been snow. These pics taken a couple of days ago.

It was really wild and windy on Thursday: was nearly blown over by a sleety gale when I left the pub after lunch with friends. Still quite cold and windy here - will have the log burner going all day today.

So much for spring ........... it feels more like winter.

The couple of 30+ degree days we had a week ago were scarey enough with fires to the north of us and smoke over the city.

Here we are moaning about the cold and the wet (drizzling at the moment) when the conditions elsewhere are nightmarish.

Toots
Very pleasant day here. 21C, slight breeze. Devonport in the background with the surf club in the foreground. We had a picnic in the shade by the river in the second photo.
annagilda
It really was beautiful yesterday. I went for a Kayak down the Cam River in Somerset. This morning was a bit ropey, but this afternoon was beautiful. Back to the grindstone in the morning, so won't get to enjoy the weather this week in Devonport, but the forecast for next weekend is looking alright. It'll probably change half a dozen times before then though.

I was out early with the animals and it was one of those clear, windless mornings. Watched good old Searoad Tamar sailing into Devonport. I miss the old Searoad Mersey. We've got the new one now instead.

I was absolutely sick of it. My poor roses had all their heads ripped off and everywhere was getting so dry. I think the weather doesn't settle until just after Christmas but this year the beginning of summer has been on the chilly side too.
