Many people on several different threads have recently been asking me if I can predict when their invitations will come.

I thought I'd start a new dedicated thread for this.

My answers are based purely on experience and the data that is produced by the department of immigration and border protection.

*****The predictions given here are not guaranteed and you should only use them for guidance only.*****

The information that I will need from you to make a prediction are:

1. ANZSCO code

2. Occupation

3. Points score

4. Date of submission of the EOI*

(I don't need IELTS scores, or any other information other than the 4 above)

*If you make any substantial changes to your EOI which may affect the point score then you should include the date that you made these edits instead of the date of submission.

I can only give estimated answers on 189 visas. 489 & 190 visas cannot be accurately predicted.

Hi there, thought I'd join in here seen as we are patiently waiting..

1. Not sure of code?

2. Secondary Teacher

3. 65 points

4. EOI submitted - the most recent round in November

189 visa - invites didn't come of Friday due to a computer glitch. Think invites will be Monday?

Thanks :-)

Not sure what will happen if you only applied on Friday.

You will either have the invite on Monday or if you missed the cut off then it will be on the next round.

Dear CaptainC,

Thank you very much for creating this thread.

It has really helped others boost their confidence and remain optimistic with their invites.

If you don't mind would you be able to predict the following?

ANZSCO Code: 234611

Occupation: Medical Laboratory Scientist

Point Score: 60

Date of the submission of EOI: 23rd October 2015

I checked the occupation ceiling for this and it currently stands at 39/1362.

Thank you again for all feedback you have provided to the rest

and help would be very appreciated with my case.

Yours faithfully,

Dear Captain,

Please predict for the below.

233914

engineering technologist

60 points

Eoi applied on 21st Nov

the ceiling right now is 447/1000. Is there a possibility of the occupation reaching its ceiling before I get an invite? Please advise.

Second round in Jan (might squeeze in the first round in Jan if you're lucky)

The ceiling value would probably be reached by April, if you take into account the trend of a rush of EOI's running up to the end of the financial year. (1st July to 30th June)

It's still less than 50% so I wouldn't worry yourself over it.

Can you also predict the time for final 'Visa Letter' after submitting the Immigration Application

Unfortunately not, each application is unique, and although the department quotes 3 months for a full and complete application it can either be shorter, or in some cases significantly longer than that figure.

There are so many variables such as character, citizenship and country of residence, travel movements, previous visas, employment, and education that need to be verified and processed that any prediction would be impossible. Also, with the current terrorism acts and threats that are happening around the world at present, I suspect that most, if not all applications will be delayed to some degree.

Hi all,

Apologies for the delay

Kyle, you're looking at 6 months or so, May at a guess providing that the minimum points don't increase again and that the trend stays steady.

Remind me in two weeks and I'll see what the next data reveals.

Fay,

You should get invited in late feb/early March based on your expected EOI submission date.

Hi Caltain C

please see below for predictions

1. ANZSCO code 323313

2: Locksmith

3: 60

4: due to submit 4/12/15

Thank you in advance
