UK Child Passport Renewal from Aus - How do I do it?

Hi All,

 

My 5yr old is due for a new passport in a couple months time. Can anyone tell me the best way to go about applying for one? I see there are "kits" that can be downloaded online. Are they any good? How much should I expect to pay?

 

It's for a UK passport renewal, and needs to include the current visa (PR) information.

 

I am in Perth, WA

Just fill in the forms ( no kit) and send them off. Easy process.

The information online will tell you what the current fees are - they do change, so do check.

The passport office for the UK will not transfer any visas. You need to notify DIAC for the visa to be linked to the new passport when it is issued. It is all electronic now you don't get a sticker. If you wanted a sticker you would need to go into a DIAC office and probably have to pay for the privilige.

I thought you had to make an appointment at Auspost now?

Child passport Form C2 and make an appointment with Aus post, being careful that you get the right dimensions for the photo (its not the same as the Aus one) and all relevant docs
