Stovies
Our beautiful dog came home from being in kennels in Scotland then quarantine in Melbourne and then flew into Adelaide this morning . We used Pet Travel Services in Dunfermline, Scotland who were excellent. She is in great condition and is settling back in well (Ping Pom dog) , had a good sniff about the place and is now fast asleep on the couch. We haven't seen her since we left at the end of July so are absolutely delighted that she is back with us now and we can all finally settle down! NowPerth
Fantastic. You must be over the moon :animal-dog: . It's a great feeling. Kim - don't worry about your dog's move (easier said than done). There are lots of threads on here with helpful practical advice and success stories. It's usually worse for owners than the animals. Hi, don't worry, she'll be well looked after and be fine! The photo above was taken about an hour after she was delivered here and she was bright eyed and bushy tailed and raring to go! It is a worry though and it is good to get it over but we were upset when we left her as she ran off to play with a ball with one of the kennel guys.... completely oblivious to the tragedy of the situation lol! She was played with, cuddled and walked daily. I would imagine she would be a bit confused as to where we all were but I seriously don't think she suffered as much as we did! Our dog is now 2 years and 4 months. Yes Ponte Pom, she is a definate people magnet when we are out and about!

Fantastic, isn't it? How did he sleep last night? Our one slept like a log on the floor in our bedroom, snoring like a trooper. Woke us up at 7.30am with the cold wet nose in the face and then the four paws in my stomach as she leapt on to the bed. Bella's back!

polshy83
Hi, We now have our visa and are planning to make the move about early April. We have a wee pug who will be 1 in December. Hope you dont mind me asking, but how much does it cost to get the dog there. It doesnt matter anyway we would never leave him now, he is part of the family. Also trying to get rough estimates of shipping our belongings. Any help appreciated. Cheers Paul

Hope you dont mind me asking, but how much does it cost to get the dog there. It doesnt matter anyway we would never leave him now, he is part of the family. Also trying to get rough estimates of shipping our belongings. Any help appreciated. Cheers Paul To ship our dog it cost us 2960 pounds from Edinburgh to Melbourne plus $1200 for quarantine fees for the month. We also had her in Kennels in Scotland for 6 weeks at a cost of 420 pounds and then another $620 to have her brought over from Melbourne to Adelaide. For our belongings we had a 20ft container packed in Edinburgh and delivered to our home in SA for the cost of 4500 pounds plus $400 for Customs inspection. We also got stung with tax for bringing over new items and also the cost of destroying 3 pine cones that was in our boxes! We have had to do this twice as we Ping Ponged :twitcy: All the best for your move! ETA: Our dog is a big muckle one so the prices will be lower for your wee pug!
