Just cut my lawns, it's a job I hate doing, does anyone know when they bloody stop growing, will this be my last cut? It's the only good thing about our 6 months of miserable winter weather, no grass to cut, lol.

Keep cutting the lawn lower and lower until its at its lowest, then wait for a scorcher of a day and then it burns the grass off and it stops growing for ages!

thats what i do

I have cut it low mate, but waiting for a scorcher of a day here in the UK is like waiting for Kate Middleton to get her paps out again, lol

Just wondering when the grass stops growing, I need cheering up, anyone know?

There were 16 entrants in the PIO UK Weather predictor league, theres 92 days in June, July and August, we have tried to predict the exact number of Hot sunny 23 degrees plus days and also the not hot days as well.

The forecast till Friday the 31st of August

UK weather forecast - Met Office
the figures quoted for this competition are from London.

Only

74
not hot, i added it up wrong last time, lol. Latest update.
DOUBLE FIGURES AFTER 71 days.

Isnt life so much better with some nice sustained hot sunny weather at last, that was two weeks ago, I was sat outside at the pub, sat in the garden, or going golfing in t shirts and shorts, it was short lived, but fantastic.

Bobj is the PIO weather predictor champion, he has lived in Australia for ...... Well ever, lol, yet he predicted a measly 18 sunny hot days out of 92 days of summer, which is really abysmal, the only good thing about it, is that it was better than last year, lol.

Bobj is the winner of the PIO weather predictor League Cup 2012

Better luck next year everyone.

Just a reminder of the crap summer we had, it's easy to forget.

Just thought i would start a log from june the 1st of our great British summer weather and see what it is like, i am taking a risk here, because last year was the coldest in history, record low temperatures since records began, an average of 13.6 degrees and surely it can't be as bad again.

Not certain about the 1st of june, but i will be keeping a daily log of sunny days, 23 plus, which i think is the least it needs to be to be classed as a hot sunny summer day.

June 1st. London 17 Yorkshire 15.

1 nil not 23 and sunny.:no::mad:

FINAL RESULT

18 days of decent summer weather last year, 18 days, I repeat ....... 18 days ONLY of decent UK summer weather. Surely it's time to call it something else?

Autumn, Winter, Spring and .............. Autumn again, I think that just about covers it, lol.
