  2. Hi all. I realise that this is an old thread..... hopefully you all got the golden emails!!! What was your timeframe in the end?? I have been waiting 2 months now since s56 doc's were submitted. Very frustrating. Many thanks
  3. I'm in the same boat. Visa lodged in april. S56 asked for in June. They needed an updated Australia police check(I submitted an out of date one) and a discrepancy on my UK police check. NO LIVE TRACE which dated bk to 2001 for a caution I received when I was 17!!. All info rectified within the 28days stated including original police report from 2001. It's very frustrating not knowing. I have a family here in Sydney now and would be financially better of with residency and daycare subsidies. Has anybody been in a similar situation and could shed some light on waiting times when visa is in 'further assesment'??
  4. Ok. So I got an email off immigration last Thursday(25 June) asking for more information. They wanted an updated AFP police check. Nice to know my case is in the hands of a C.O Good luck peeps

  10. Hey. I'm in a similar situation! Any update?? Many thanks J
  11. Thanks for the reply. Yep I have got a migration laywer. They dealt with my sponsor almost 3years ago now. They were great then and have been really good with the recent process. Obviously they won't suggest anything that isn't explicitly above board. I was simply wondering if anyone on this forum knew the process well enough.ie... Whether immigration do checks in real time (will they check to see if my sponsor company is still operating) or just look at the back dated evidence that has been provided to which everything is as stated.
  12. Hey guys. Help required. I'm 2 yrs in on my 457 sponsor visa. I work for my friends building firm and I will be submitting all documents for the 186 ens visa in the coming days. The firm I work for is going through a messy court case. Long story short, my mate wants to put the company into liquidation. My question is, if he hangs on until my visa has been lodged and then closes the company, how will this affect things? Will the department of immigration check etc? I plan to stay with the firm on another company name and different ABN. I hope this makes sense. Cheers
  13. Hey Bob. How did the technical interview go!! I am booking mine soon! What sort of questions were there? Cheers mate Joel
