  1. Maybe you haven't submitted the right form of police check. Does it look like this? From AFP National Police, $42?
  2. WOW that's amazing. I think you are the 3rd approval from Feb this year in the last week. They've sped up on Chefs obviously.
  3. The question is whether they'll grant it as the previous visa history (application for PR) will suggest you are not a genuine temporary entrant: You can read more here.
  4. Nope, it's not passport related, they're just slow. If it was just the passport they would have told you so.
  5. Doesn’t matter if you have a passport or not, your application can be processed and visa granted even without it. They will then wait for you to submit the new passport details to link it with it and that’s about it.
  6. Whaaatttttt?! That is plain stupid and if you have a MA that threatens to do that for something you have every right to- you should be cancelling his services not the other way round. As a matter of fact the agent should inform you of the possibility to track the application status online and explain how. That’s what a decent agent would do. Putting a wrong address is easy fixable, and changing an address yourself should not be an issue at all. Once the app is lodged both you and the agent can make changes. It’s appealing to know how many quasi agents are out there operating and people put their trust and future (not to mention money) in their hands just to be treated this way. Crazy!
  7. For most applications (especially Hospitality-related) seems to be Feb to June 2017.
  8. Provided you give them a resignation notice as per the contract/law (for example 2 or 4 weeks) after you complete working for the business 2 years (as per Immi), you will have no problem. More about the notice period here.
  9. From the second one of course. The first one was refused and it's out of the picture.
  10. It means they are working on your file (processing) but no-one knows how long they will take exactly. They will finalize the nomination first and if approved will proceed with your visa.
  11. wrong. 2 years from the day you started working full-time.
  12. 300-400 days is the waiting time for AAP and only a good lawyer/agent who has a deep understanding and knowledge of your case can tell you whether it's (or can be built into) a strong case that has a chance at the Tribunal.
  13. This is already applied to 187 (at least 2 years in Regional). They might make the same rules for 186 and similar.
  14. "The skilled worker intake accounts for about 120,000 but Mr Tudge said on Tuesday morning he was not seeking to impose stricter conditions on employers who sponsor these foreign workers."
  15. You don't have to stay there. You can move to any other shitty little town once you get the PR, as long it's regional.
  16. Absolutely not. It was only done as part of Minister Dutton's crackdown trying to reduce immigration numbers. It has nothing to do with dates of application.
  17. It's more than nice. It means no more nonsensical refusals with ridiculous reasons.
  18. Yes but it wont affect those already waiting. It will apply to new applicants. And good news is, now with the new Prime Minister, they wont be refusing without asking for further documents.
  19. I am pretty sure if you google what you just asked here you’ll find heaps of answers without having to wait for a reply.
  20. you can do absolutely nothing until your visa is approved or denied. if you leave the country before that, there is no coming back.
