  1. Hi Duke that seems a high number from a low risk country, but admit is how you count the numbers. Ours was a bit more than that but was from a high risk and not my bio children.
  2. Might be a good time to add, I have no intention of or have in process, any visa application/s. At most I may invite a person on a Visitor Visa in the future. I had an issue or two with past family stream visa applications and visitor visa applications. Some I sorted myself, others with very good registered migration agents. All with varied and opposite results.
  3. Understand, I know it is not a simple task. Strange LegendCom say that it is a 24/7 access point. lol
  4. Number of changes to the "820" PAM 3 section since 2014 and the dates of change would be great to know. Thanks.
  5. Nemesis it was an official document. Unless we have access to the current subscription it is impossible to tell if it is still current, or in fact small parts out of date or all of it. To me it seems several parts are still current. Whilst rare it is and has been the case that people have applied under that exact official policy advice but be eventually processed under new official policy advice. From memory and I wont check the exact date of that 2014 policy, but lets agree it is 4 years old. That's half of some current processing times average. So if that is way out of date and it changes frequently, many applications will be processed on "out of date" documentation by the time they are processed. On the matter of change of the 820 since 2014, can you elaborate? I don't recall much other than the big one recently - but we might consider change in different ways. (the main I saw was the same sex change).
  6. Please do not seek info from immigration departments, it is the worst place to try get clarity. You need to get clarity from a registered migration agent. Honestly that is the only place you can get the clarity (correct information).
  7. Peter Bollard is another name put forward for medical migration issues. Other than the above by Verystormy, I have only heard of one other that is recommended. But I do hear the fees are very fair.
  8. The 5 year not applicable to you. That was not a sponsorship for you ex-wife.
  9. With respect Raul, "but note the date" was very clear. I do not have the current $700 or $800 subscription service to the current version that you are required to have, so obviously I can not tell if any part of it has changed - hence note the date. With very few minor changes all of the application forms, information booklets and checklists supplied by the immigration department have not changed since 2014, and since the general public don't generally know or have access to PAM 3 it is certainly good information for them to know about. As you know PAM 3 is the immigration departments policy/interpretation or legislation at a particular time and is not enforceable, but good information to have. It can also be helpful (and harmful) for DYI applicants to see the way types of thinks can get considered, often in the complete opposite to what would normally be expected. PAM 3 and its associated products in its annual subscription service is one of the main benefits of using a Registered Migration Agent, but it must be used in conjunction with the current legislation and the experience of a Registered Migration Agent, and I acknowledge you do have around a dozen years of that experience. In that particular version of the 820 PAM 3. I find it useful that it clearly makes avoidance of not having to meet Schedule 3 desirable, and if you do need to meet it seek professional help without delay.
  10. Here is one, but note the date! https://www.dropbox.com/s/xr3itps2tu3vf5u/820 PAM3.docx?dl=0 Will advise Shed 3 persons a bit.
  11. Is there any PAM 3 links here?
  12. And page 33 on this. http://www.iscah.com/wp_files/wp-content/uploads/2017/04/newsletter226.pdf
  13. It seems that in particular with offshore applications many are not being processed in usual country of residence and applications lodged in say the UK are being processed as above in embassies such as Beirut and others in Bangkok. I am not so familiar with onshore but I assume all online are now in a stack and to the most part the processing centres just get the application that is on top of the stack.
  14. No - I did look for a gov link, that is a cut and paste, from a Registered Migration Agent (a 06 model). I think you will find it was not a general information release to the general public, but an internal publication that includes Registered Migration Agents on some form of bulletin. I see there are a few registered agents here, that should be able to confirm it. P.S. not sure how to put links here anyway.
  15. Some counselling sessions seem a very good idea. Maybe if you both try to set a few goals in making you feel more at home here, that could be joining a new club that is a new activity to both of you. This then gives you level playing ground for both of you to learn the new activities together. Be very careful not to report any separation to the immigration department until you are certain the relationship is over, I would say a 3 month cool off period. Best of luck.
  16. This was last year. But only 820 applications. The DIBP has advised that during the final quarter of this financial year priority will be given to low-risk applicants and those regarded by DIBP as fully front-end loaded with documentation that immediately satisfies Partner visa criteria.
  17. For 600 quid, I would expect to have a detailed visa strategy in place by now. There are a number of good Registered Migration Agents, but also a number that seem not so good. Have you been informed on what 457 visa it will be? I assume with the 189 visa application before arrival in Australia it is the short term 457 (2 years). Also have they informed you that the 457 visa system is going to be abolished. Have they given you expected processing times? It might be best to shop around a bit and research several Registered Migration Agents and see who you feel most comfortable with, there are a number of good Australian based ones also.
  18. Last year front loaded applications got priority for a month or two at the end of the immigration year (June 30), to meet yearly planning levels. But most applications would have been vetted a few months prior to that, so if anyone was planning on taking the front load risk again - I would be having the application in before end of this month. That just information so take it or leave it, but it did happen last year. May last year might have just missed that boat. Time fly's it could have been the year before.
  19. You might also want to look into education costs of the 3 children, it varies in states in Australia and can be very expensive on temporary visas's
  20. You might want to use her reason for the visitor visa to be consistent with reasons they can be granted, and she meets the genuine temporary entrant requirements.
  21. The main restriction on the long visitor visa/s is as mentioned "not more than 12 months in Australia in any 18 month period" - this to be clear is a rolling 18 months not fixed dates.
  22. You could also do them in around 6 months time (check processing times again then). Your visa arrival date is based on the expiry date of these two documents, what ever expires first. You are still risking having to do them again if they have not requested them.
  23. Seems that a few Partner Visa applications are being out sourced. A UK one was being processed in Indonesia the other day - noted by a request for more information. You actually applied for both the 309 & 100 visa in that application, not just the 309. You can get the ETA then simply upload an statement to your immiacount advising of your travel to Australia and when you intend to be offshore. It is no problem at all to do this in relation to your application. There is no skipping the 309 stage it will be granted first, the case officer can then immediately grant the 100. It would be wise to ask in your application for this to be considered due to length of relationship (mostly as a reminder for the Case Officer). I would advise not to contact the embassies for information on visa matters, only a "register migration agent" is qualified to give visa information and guidance.
