I called up AU immigration when I wasn't sure which way around to do it a few months back, and I was told it was best to apply for a partnership visa offshore, then if you want to go to Aus whilst it's being processed, then you can go on a tourist visa and stay for up to one year, but you'll need to leave every 3 months (either back to U.K., or a trip to Bali) I was informed that this was ok on two separate occasions, during phone calls. They informed me to definitely not do it the other way around-go on tourist visa and apply whilst on that visa in oz, and a fair few on this forum also advised against that too. I contacted AU immigration a while ago, before I applied for my Partner Visa and my tourist visa, and this was the advice I was given by them. They actually said it's completely fine and quite common, as long as you leave the country every three months, and it certainly beats going onshore on a tourist visa to apply, which is risky. Hi All, I submitted my Partner Visa 3 weeks ago, and received the email of acknowledgement, but haven't heard anything since, and am becoming concerned a little, as I'm reading that a lot of people received requests for medical etc after 10 days ish! Hi All, I submitted my Partnership Visa 3 weeks ago, and it's still at "received" status, not heard from any CO or anything..is this the norm? Thanks So should I only really submit one piece of evidence for each category, or submit a few, or one will suffice? I know someone who only submitted one piece of evidence per section. Hi All, So my Partner Visa has been submitted (yay!) and now I'm currently uploading the evidence. Out of the 60 slots permitted for evidence, I've submitted 30..but I feel like I'm kind of submitting the same evidence, under different titles, at the risk of repeating myself! Lol, is this the norm? And do I have the use the whole 60 and upload 60 items? Also, I have my partners birth certificate and his statement, so can I upload those two items for him? Many thank you's! Hi All, so it's finally happening, and tomorrow I'll be submitting the form part of my Partner Visa Application..we also finally have all the required evidence (I Hope!) But I'm still confused about the submitting of evidence part..looking for advice! So, here go my questions!...If I scan and send all of my evidence in color copy, does any of it still need to be certified?..Can I scan the actual passport/birth certificate itself, or do I need to photocopy then scan?..Do I send all the scans to an email address/ how is it sent to them? And can I upload the photos I have from my phone, or do I need to print them out? Sorry for the bombarding! Would really appreciate any guidance on this!
