The issue is whether she is an "eligible NZ citizen" or not, which is defined under social security legislation rather than immigration law. If she is then it's a 309, if she's not then it's a 461. You don't have a choice in the matter. Some info and further links here: https://immi.homeaffairs.gov.au/entering-and-leaving-australia/new-zealand-citizens/entitlements

Except when the eGates blow up
-
It's the same queue: " There are over 270 eGates in place at 15 air and rail ports in the UK to enable quicker travel into the UK. You can normally use eGates if you: have a biometric symbol on the cover of your passport are aged 10+ (10 to 17 year olds must be accompanied by an adult) are either: a British citizen a national of an EU country, Australia, Canada, Iceland, Japan, Liechtenstein, New Zealand, Norway, Singapore, South Korea, Switzerland or the USA a member of the Registered Traveller Service"

@Alan Collett is likely your man.

Yes, you will. I don’t think I have ever uploaded more than around 40 documents, usually less. You can combine things into logically grouped pdf files.
-
It really isn’t “number one”.
-
482 I think you mean … yes, no age limit on the temporary visa and there are some very limited circumstances where there are post-45 PR pathways, but you need to go looking and have the right profile.
-
Interesting … the wording for the eVisitor is most definitely citizenship.

Scottish firefighter wishing to move to oz

The 187 was closed to new applicants in 2019, unless they were in a transition stream, which the OP is clearly not. -
My charges may be exuberant, but they certainly aren’t exorbitant…

Or not work at all if you prefer!

“This occupation requires a qualification assessed as comparable to the educational level of an Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF) Bachelor degree or higher, in a field highly relevant to the nominated occupation. Applicants must also have at least one year of highly relevant, post-qualification employment, at an appropriate skill level completed in the last five years.” So, it will depend on whether Vetassess consider the qualification sufficiently relevant and/or at the correct level. If it were me, or one of my clients, I would be asking the question of them directly

Yep … and you should confirm that it’s all done by checking VEVO. Take the old passport if in any doubt.

Then they have lied on their application forms … you are asked if you have other citizenships and what they are. Australia is not available from that drop-down box.

Migration to Australia with bachelor/master degree in science
paulhand replied to Shaxy's topic in Working and Skilled Visas
Nope … that’s the way the process works. Depending on nationality, you may be eligible for short term working holiday visas, but these are not generally a pathway to permanent residence or you could look at employer sponsored visas which may offer PR pathways. -
For a permanent visa, pretty much no chance. For a temporary one … it might be possible if an employer were to sponsor you but more info needed.

Solicitor has been on the skill shortage list since at least 2014. I’m not sure where you saw the information about only IP lawyers? The relevant skills list does not have any caveats for ‘Solicitor’ and therefore is open to any suitably qualified solicitor. Of course, that does not guarantee an invitation or employability, as with any occupation.
-
Actually, solicitor and barrister are both on the Medium and Long-term Skills Shortage List and are available for independent skilled migration.

I was trying to suggest the point that @InnerVoicemade far more eloquently, whilst also trying to avoid giving tax advice!
-
I’d be taking some professional advice particularly in regards to tax years and tax residency (or residencies) in the year that the OP moves. One for @Alan Collett

Yes … this was Labour policy long before the Conservatives hijacked it.
