  4. I also remember as part of the skills assessment criteria that I needed so many years post NVQ experience to be applicable for the test. But definitely call the down under centre tomorrow for accurate information as every case is different
  5. Ah fair enough, I thought you meant just the visa process. I was worried for a second haha. I already have everything else setup from living out there the last few years
  6. I would recommend giving them a call on 020 3376 1555. Theyre brilliant at the down under centre and very knowledgeable about everything. I dealt with Nikki Chilvers, she was brilliant. The future skills paperwork building up to the skills assessment is the worst part of everything
  7. Hi verystormy, I'm currently in this process for 189 as electrician and just curious were your getting the £30,000 figure from? I havnt spent even a third that amount and I'm almost done. Any info would be great
  8. Pretty sure the NVQ was the main certificate I had to supply for my skills assessment only a few months ago. Along with all individual supporting certificates, and mountain of paperwork they ask for. I did my skills assessment with down under centre and through future skills.
  9. My backup plan was partner visa if my 189 fell through for any reason, but my fiance gave up waiting as its been 6 months since i left aus. Devastated
  10. I get 90 every time in the reading and speaking, but not 100% which question types are letting me down for the others. Yeah youtube is brilliant, learnt most from on there. Ill keep this chat updated with my progress throughout my visa. Thanks for the support
  11. Where did your husband get his revision material from for the PTE. Im using e2 language but there is obviously something im still doing wrong in the exam.
  12. Im borderline getting my superior each time. Very frustrating. Reading 90, Speaking 90, Listening 79, Writing 78, Overall 86. Very expensive and time consuming. Good luck with your application
  13. Im still trying to acheive my superior english with the PTE. Then im all set to submit my EOI. Im hoping for a speedy processing time with everything resetting in july.
  14. Accountants reached their maximum ceiling values early in the year. Im guessing youll have to wait for them to reset in july.https://www.border.gov.au/Trav/Work/Skil#tab-content-3
  15. Are there any electricians waiting for their 189 grant in here? How long have you been waiting?
  16. Pte is tough in some aspects. I've sat IELTS and PTE twice. Still needing my 79+. The first attempt at PTE I got Speaking 90, Reading 90, Listening 77, Writing 69. The second time I got speaking 90, reading 90, writing 79, listening 78. Gutted, to say the least! Sitting again this week. But I do prefer PTE over IELTS in every way. I'm a native English speaker from the UK and it's still a tough exam as it's not all about how good your English is. Core skills like memory are also important.
  17. Yeah passed my exam according to the examiner in London, Was surprisingly easy compared to what i expected. AM2 is 5x harder. Yeah Nikki was my agent and she was great! Explained that i could do my online theory exams here which is great as i have not long returned from australia and currently unemployed while i sort all this visa stuff out and get back out there to my fiance
  18. Hi everyone, qualified sparky currently working through the process towards either 189, 190, 489 or spouse visa for Northern Territory. Got my skills assessment in the morning at the down under centre in London and IELTS on the weekend. I've been in Australia the last 2 years WHV and for the best part of 1 1/2 of them i was working for electrical companies in the NT doing the majority of the work and alongside A grade sparks. Question is because i wasn't qualified there, can i use it towards skillselect points as inside australia experience? Thanks
