  1. Hi thanks for your reply- I’m not on a 457 I have been on a bridging visa since July 2017. Food for thought with the legitimacy of position. I have to go back though as my brother is getting married and so is my best friend and I have the hens parties and weddings spread out across English summer so not financially possible to fly back and fourth 4 times in 6 months and there’s no way I’m missing it! I have already missed so much! Waiting for this visa.
  2. I am on a bridging visa and have been since July last year- I have already applied for bridging visa B and got one as I was in some sort of fairy land thinking England were going to make the World Cup final- but they didn’t so I didn’t go back haha. But your right - they would question if there’s a genuine need but then how would they know I was on leave unless they asked for further documents? Whats your thoughts?
  3. Hi Poms in Oz family, Does anyone know where we stand with unpaid leave whilst our visa is still processing? In Feb of next year I plan to go back to the uk for 6 months- I am hoping I have a visa by then but just trying to gauge worse case scenario. I have been waiting 19 months so far so would like to think I should be soon however as a hairdresser I know that might not be the case. If I go on unpaid leave and they open my visa will there be an issue? Thanks in advance.
  4. Yep hairdressers removed too. and I’m in the same boat- can’t contact them because they just keep moving the goal post! We will get there hopefully!
  5. I Agree 100% I've been on this forum a while and whilst its very important to understand that its a drop in the ocean with regards to the amounts of applications immigration receive its very good to see trends. When i joined the forum almost 2 years ago i looked for my own occupation on the spreadsheet- back when all the old years were kept there (some dumbass since has removed all old years so it impossible to look back which was the entire point of the spreadsheet) Anyway before you could see how long your occupation was likely to take- Hairdressers were always left for 18months or more- who knows why but on the spreadsheet you could clearly see. Then Doctors were less then 6 months and then occupations that i had never heard of - well they just zoomed through. This kinda helped me as i set myself up for a long wait instead of the 8-10month guideline which i was given when i applied... I am now at 20 months and still received. I keep my file updated and enjoy each day i have here whilst i can. It would be crazy for someone to suggest that the process is not occupation driven. The entire system is occupation drievn so of course the order of processing would also work this way. No offence Hex - but it would be slightly easier for someone who has only been waiting for 6 months ahead of some action to think more positively then someoen who has perhaps been waiting longer. I no the waiting process is hard for everyone but the longer the wait- generally the more painful. I am with you though- it is defiantly best to remain positive !
  6. OMG - that’s awful! Why would they make you re do all of that and then refuse you anyway! That’s a joke!!! Did you get a reason in the end? Sorry to hear ?
  7. Heeeey Parksy! you messaged me on my birthday - in sync! Haha! As you can see- I am trying to stay off of forum - I’m finding it cleansing! In answer to your question: nope nothing nada zilch I will get my company to update the latest financial year documents in the next couple of weeks to keep us to scratch. Did the others get back to you? Just on the way back from the snow!! Perisher and Thredbo! Have you done your giant holidays yet???
  8. It is so illogical. It effects the patterns and entire purpose of the spreadsheet. How about i just delete the whole thing? I mean seriously. Whoever thinks they are lord of the spreadsheet clearly has too much time on their hands and a pea sized brain...
  9. WHO THE HELL HAS DELETED ALL OF 2016 PAGES FROM THE SPREADSHEET? Seriously do you NOT understand? Now it is impossible to see patterns from past approvals- all of the formulas on the front page do not work and more importantly those people that are STILL waiting from 2016 have just been removed? Like WTF. The 2016 are still relevant in MANY ways. The spreadsheet has worked perfectly for years without some dumbass coming in and just changing it. Whoever you are.... STOP!
  10. I did one! i DON'T have an MA i just did one just in case so we didn't encounter any necessary delays. They seem to request it a bit- judging by the spreadsheet.
  11. Hey Parkesy, It's super quiet without you here .... Your celebrations sounded amazing... how was Heston's? Have you been to The Fat Duck in London before? (MY MOUTH IS ACTUALLY WATERING) LOVE all of your holiday plans- i think this is what i'm looking forward to the most- freedom to go on holiday abroad without the panic of being refused whilst you are out of the country and ultimately being completely fucked! I recon our first stop will be Raja Ampat and surrounding islands for an island hopping diving trip ... just can't wait! Ironic that the first thing we do once being given PR is booked a flight somewhere else! haha... THE PRISON SENTENCE IS FINALLY UP- Hoping it comes this year for me... so bad! Enjoy
  12. Omg just seen this!!! WOW! fingers crossed it really is our turn @parveen.... Thanks @pzuk for the tag ?
  13. Hey Laura, Is it relevantly easy to get a job in Darwin? I'm trying to think of back up plans in case the visa i have applied for falls through ...And i know that NT do state sponsorship....when i jumped online to check out jobs there didn't appear to be much ...
  14. NOTHING! Oi mate... why you hanging around here for ? I'd love to hear about what you did this weekend to celebrate? I'm trying to manifest an approval- i bought a bottle of champagne and put it in the fridge about 3 months ago...
  15. So my emails have been POPPING OFF... I was thinking something big must have happened, Maybe we are all approved? Maybe we are all being thrown out? Maybe the Queen has landed on the moon? **** IT I'm going to come out of Poms in Oz partial retirement to actually check the forum.... LOW AND BEHOLD.... @Parkesy HAS ONLY GONE AND GOT HIS VISA! OMG CONGRATULATIONS WHAT A BEAUTIFUL DAY IT IS TODAY! I WISH I STILL LIVED IN MELBOURNE TO JOIN IN CELEBRATIONS! SO PLEASED!!!!!!!! I will now return to my holiday from Poms in Oz and checking immi account.... PS They are DEFINITELY approving nominations in occupation batches! I HAVE NO DOUBT IN MY MIND!!!! When a hairdresser gets approved - please email me personally ?
  16. Hey, yea sure... I was on my 2nd year of my working holiday visa 417. Then that expired in July so I have been on bridging visa A since then.... with no Australian rights haha. Why do you ask?
