Hi, you shouldn’t have to re do police checks for the UK if you haven’t been back. My partner and I didn’t have to get ours re done and ours were done in Feb 2017- the case officer simply asked for our AFP and updated medicals (all were done around Feb 2017)

Hi, I just had to complete an updated medical (last week) I did not need a new HAP ID they use your old one- they even have your file with the picture they took from the previous medical- all information is the same they just refresh the medical part if that makes sense. I did it literally last week- and I used the same HAP ID to book medical ect No you definitely don’t !

Hey, If you already have done a medical then you do not need a new HAP ID - you will already have one. Have a look at your medical paperwork from the first time round.

Hi, The general rule for case officers is that they do not ope your case for another 28 days following document request. Looking at your signature your case officer has followed this rule although it took you almost a further month to supply the second piece requested. I think you should hear before Christmas. I have this theory that case officers will want to clear the backlog of "open" cases before they break for the festive period, That's just my personal theory.

The problem with this is you don’t know when they will open your case! Plus I heard it’s down to the case officers discretion - my case was 18 months before being touched some people wait over 2 years- for 2 people it’s $1000 a go for medical and police so question is how many times do you want to spend that when you don’t even know that your nomination will be approved.... applying for nomination and visa at the same time as DE is already a large enough financial risk for me I think!

HEEEELLLLLO! I love that you still check in haha! Well i got my nomination approved last Thursday after immigration called my work place and asked 50,000 questions.... Then updated police check and medical requested - got a medical appointment the next day (Tues this week) ans applied for police cert same day - still waiting for these in the post. What i'm thinking and this is my law of attraction again....is that case officer MAYBE not want to open a new file JUST before xmas so they maybe (JUST ,MAYBE) will check through all the open cases that are just awaiting updated documents earlier then the 28 days so they can clear the backlog before Christmas and start a fresh next year! This way of thinking has given me a ray of hope that i MAYBE JUST MAYBE may have my PR this year which would just finish this year off beautifully for me and start 2019 with a bang! I hope your well! HOT in old Melbs today ain't it? haha

It's defiantly more sporadic then organised ..... Hairdresser on here waited 2 and half years and i have only waited 20 months for nomination.... I know its done case bu case but because we do not fully know or understand the system the term "random" would probably be fair to use!!!

Yep welcome to the circus! Have a look at the spreadsheet it gives you some form of indication although its not THAT reliable as its a small drop in the ocean but i have always found it helpful! If you go to the top of the screen and click the tab "visa timelines" then ENS 186 sheet it will load

Yes it does thanks- but FYI in my case I was being very positive and saying nice things! I would like to think it might have made my case officer smile should they have come across it haha. Anyway - slap on the wrist now I feel like a naughty kid being told off haha. Ps my status changed to initial assessment as soon as I left medical Center and I expect it will change to further assessment once the results are in. Hoping all documents will be updated by next week. Happy Wednesday!!!!

See there’s a positive of not having an MA all emails and correspondence come directly to me and my employer (who I’m very close with) I never felt comfortable leaving my future and my life in someone else’s hands- perhaps that also makes me a control freak but I just liked to look at every document myself after going over and over the requirements before myself or the company uploaded. i truly believe nobody’s cares about your visa more then you... I’ve had many friends who went through MA’s started the process before us but took longer to even lodge application because of all the backwards and forwards.... Happy Tuesday by the way- beautiful sunny skies where I am

Hey - my account still said received even when a case officer had already called my work, so I don’t think it always changes! Hey this happened to me. I had applied in March 2017 and in Nov 2017 it showed as “last updated date” i think this was somthing to do with system update!

Actually i've just seen in your signature that you didn't lodge your own visa application until after the nomination approval so it's a totally different situation to me anyway!
