  1. Are you currently employed here in Aus by the same company who is sponsoring you? Are you on a bridging visa?
  2. I have no idea what you are asking... Maybe because its Monday.
  3. RFI is different, According to immigration if an RFI has passed the current timescales then the reason is because they are doing ongoing investigations into your application. It is NOT because they are just not doing anything. That is according to them. I however have not heard a peep after sending my RFI on the 30th of August ...
  4. They are currently processing applications from the 21st October, this should be updated Monday and Maybe you will be in time for Xmas. They will shut from 23rd to the 3rd...
  5. They do both, They will randomly check all visa applications and will focus more on HR applications, Certain Fields (Cook, Shop Manager etc etc) then spot check the rest.
  6. Have you been back to the UK since leaving? Things won't be exactly like you remember. I think you should take a gap year Go visit, work and then finish your studies either here or there depending on how you feel
  7. If you have savings why not look into studying? you will get some qualifications and will be able to work part time. Then if the relationship works out you can then apply for a defacto visa. Just a thought. Sitting at home all day not working for a year is going to make you go insane.
  8. Maybe email them and see what they can offer you. 457@border.gov.au - they might be able to put it on hold until after baby is born.
  9. Work for the remaining 10 months of your visa and then lodge a partner visa ... save very hard in that 10 months... or keep the bank account looking good with regular income and a job and they hand out creditcards like sweets over here..
  10. So they answered in 28 mins, and advised me that there hasn't been any further updates since I sent in the additional docs that were requested a few months ago. He advised I am ok to work until April on my current visa and just hold tight and wait for them to process the application. I must say the guy who i spoke to was very polite and helpful. So 65 working days since the RFI and I will just wait some more.
  11. So to bring this thread back to life, I have decided to call them and sit in the hour long queue.. Its currently been only 10 mins..... Lets see what they can tell me...
  12. I can't believe its Friday tomorrow and another week will be gone without any communication. Oh well.... There's always next week
  13. hmmm that 131881 number gives no option for what i need lol. I might go to perth tomorrow, i know there is a 457 team here somewhere lol.
  14. Congrats to all that have their visa's. Currently waiting after an RFI for 57 working days... Time to write a professional but strongly worded email to immigration. I appreciate things take time, but I feel I deserve an explanation I mean if its taking this long surely there is a reason for it? I think I would actually prefer a refusal rather than just nothing lol I mean I wouldn't really but its getting beyond a joke.
  15. This may not Be a bad thing, just make sure what they are asking for is definitely what you are supplying them it's unusual for them to ask for information they have already got so triple check, it's obviously relating to the nomination side so once that's sorted if your visa application is decision ready, you will probably be granted it as soon as the momination if granted
  16. I sent them a 300 Page PDF with technical details of the last 300 jobs I've done. My Resume and work references. Seriously Ive been here over a year and been in this job since February, sooooooo frustrating I need my medicare back lol.
  17. A 457 is possible if you lodge the application now, this would need to be done properly so there are no possibilities of them requesting more info and delaying the application. If you are able to obtain a 417 WHV then why not go this route? and then apply for the 457 when you get here... A WHV will be granted winthin a few hours lol.
  18. 1) This is at least a 3 month process that requires requires meeting certain training benchmarks. Don't even worry about any of the other steps until they are an approved business sponsor. 2) Its best to submit the nomination & visa application together at the same time. make sure they are decision ready so it stops any further delays. 3) Hold off on any medicals or police or medical insurance until its requested. - These are processed differently when uploaded so wont hold up the application too much when uploaded. (Well insurance I suppose you could provide at time of application depends if you want to pay it while not in aus if you are not currently here?) 3a) I am not sure about the IELTS side of things sorry. 4) Once the companies SBS have been approved and they have nominated you then yes you can apply for the visa with the corresponding TRN. 5) Currently its 35 days from lodgement of visa, decision ready is the key. Good Luck.
  19. Hi. Nope.. Not one peep..maybe they have forgotten about me. ;-(
