  1. My Update: SBS Lodged 7TH April Granted 20th June Nomination & Visa Lodged 1st July Nomination Granted 29th August Visa Application: More info requested (Related to skills) 29th August More info uploaded 29th August - References & Payslips Awaiting visa decision Mad at myself for not uploading it sooner but never mind. Now probably another month for this to be verified lol - my bad. Sam
  2. Seem like a few people with a similar timeline to you are getting visa's approved. So that means mine may take a few more weeks Congrats.
  3. Seems like a perfect turnaround time, wish they were all like that lol. Good luck with the move to Sydney ;-)
  4. My application is "received" both nomination / visa LR country currently in Oz now on BVA I'm not too worried how long it takes, I just hope there's no issues! Been waiting since 1st July so not too long. Hope you get things sorted ;-)
  5. So the 8th August is the day they received your new sbs application? seems like they emailed the docs and its taken 2 months just to add them, now its gonna sit in application received for another 2 months before its looked at
  6. EOI on this forum and in terms of immigration mean to lodge an EOI with the government in order to be selected for certain other visa's not a 457. EOI in terms of a 457 would I guess be to email perspective employers your CV and state you require sponsorship, which is something I did and took a while but some company did take that risk / leap, so it can work. Cheers Sam.
  7. http://www.ajurialawyers.com.au/blog/working-holiday-visas-and-the-6-month-work-limitation/ http://sydneymovingguide.com/switching-to-a-457-visa/ http://www.vsure.com.au/hiring-temporaryvisaholders-in-australia-how-to-avoid-the-pitfalls/ https://newsletter.australianmigrations.com/2016/03/22/know-your-visa-conditions-8547-work-limitation/ Ive been told once a 457 application is lodged you can request the limitation to be lifted, it does not automatically start clock again. I am in this boat right now hence why I have been googling my life away on the issue. I dont know who to beleive seems even MA's interpret things differently! Edit: I realise not all the links posted at that of Registered MA's
  8. The 6 month thing is still on Vevo on my bridging visa. I'm pretty sure the 6 month this starts again as its a new / different visa i.e its not longer a WHV but a BVA so although 6th months limit I think its 6 months from the 3rd August. I will check this out. Thanks all for your help. Sam.
  9. Really? first time I have heard this.. My Ex MA totally disagrees with that statement. (Not saying i do)
  10. hmm, Thanks Guys, Bungo I didn't mean to sound rude, I really appreciate your input and help. I'll try and have it lifted just in case of any issues. Thanks ;-)
  11. I'm on a WHV and No they pretty much similar in regards to all them points you mentioned. You may find renting an issue through a agency but I didnt have any issues. Points to note; 1) 417 has a 6 month employee limitation so you make sure they apply for your visa asap. 2)no health insurance is required for 417 and while your here you can get medicare if you have a UK passport and this is sufficient for your 457 3) you need to be under 31 to apply for 417 4) A 417 is not intended for this purpose maybe do some holidaying before staeting work 6) make sure you base salary is at least 54000 a year 5) Make sure your job is on the csol list Good Luck
  12. I entered Aus aug 3rd 2015 expired Aug 3rd 2016, I applied for the 457 on the 1st July so I checked on the Vevo a couple days ago and the BV has kicked in, I thought that was standard on all onshore visa applications ? Anyway back to my original question lol the 6 month thing any ideas ??
  13. I'm sure I am. The bridging visa was granted as soon as my 457 application was submitted and I checked on vevo and it's status is In Effect and my old TRN is no longer valid.
  14. Hey, I was on a WHV, as you all know can only work with one employer for 6 months. I am now on a bridging visa(Applying for 457) , My six month would technically be up on the 29th August, however now I am on BVA and its a different visa does this 6 months start from the day it was activated i.s 3rd August? or is my 6th month still 29th August. Cheers Sam
  15. Spot on mate my whv ends tomorrow so will be on a bridging visa until hopefully its granted, Im very anti-migration agent at the moment lol, i'm sure its like everything in life you get the good, bad and really bad lol cheers for the heads up, now its lodged im more relaxed good luck mate hope it gets sorted asap :-)
  16. I honestly can't believe how alike this is to my case. If its just 457 insurance certificate mate, I would log on and upload it now under the correct tab and click on the submit addtional info button . 50 Days + for email response from 457 and that if they can be arsed. The initials of your MA are not RP are they?
  17. I am currently going through the same, I didnt apply for the nom/visa until 1/7 so I am still within the normal time-frame, mines still at received. I would try and get some info for yourself, email HR / the agent and ask what has happend etc. Have they requested any docs is it all going ok etc. One thing i noticed as soon as you apply for you visa while in Aus, your Bridging visa is granted straight away. So if your employer has submitted your nom / visa ask for the bridging visa information - my visa expires 3rd august so when i applied on the 1st july my bridiging visa was emailed to me straight away. I think it will matter more about you, the job you are being employed to do. rather than the company itself.
  18. Theres not really too much to my timeline, SBS was lodge mid april and granted mid june then nomination and visa lodged on 1st july i was off work the last week of june and my visa expires this week so i think i was just starting to worry. I done the nomination and visa myself after the hicup with the MA so my fingers are crossed.
  19. Hey mate, the exact same thing happened to me, My migration agent emailed them rather than just uploading it, I Was furious as I asked for weeks have they sent the additional info and kept getting, yes immi should reply soon, So l logged on and uploaded the info myself after repeated requesting them to do it. mine was for the SBS not my actual visa however the very next day after me uploading the docs the SBS was granted, it was so frustrating. My advice call your agent and ask them why its not showing on immi? and dont take **** from them, One Thing Ive noticed from MA's is that however important your visa is to you, They have many customers, and sometimes it seems sending a template email to 457@border.blah blah is easier than logging in and doing it properly. Good luck.
  20. Fair enough, good luck with everything hope it all works out :-)
  21. My company applied for nomination on 1st July and its not even been looked at yet. Why don't you apply for the visa now? They obviously sponsored before and will save time ?
  22. hi all. I'm currently in Aus on a WHV. My company offered to sponsor me. This has been my timeline so far SBS Application sent in 7th April Approved 17th June would have been sooner if my MA actually done what we paid her to do! Nomination & Visa applied 1st July now the wait begins, bridging visa already granted. Hope it goes through smoothly :-)
  23. just be careful as the bridging visa issued will not have travel rights as standard i would imagine
