Hello,
Ive been looking for quite some time now and feel that the only ways I can approach the visas is to visit Australia and hope that someone can offer me a sponsored job temporary skilled 457.
I have a BA hons degree in Interior design
I have worked in various construction and civil engineering related drafting roles and was hoping to go down this route however I think I would fail the vetassess skills assessments on all possible anzcso codes
Interior design - over 5 years since worked in industry, Civil engineering drafting only 1 year experience in last 5 years/ 4 years over 5 years previous, Architectural draftsperson 4 years over 5 years previous.
My most recent employment has been as the director of a company but my degree doesn't match the job 3+ years in last 5 years.
Is this the best way to tackle my issue to visit agencies or companies in Austalia and try to set up interviews or is it highly unlikely that getting a job via this route would arise. Everyone I speak to says I need to get a working visa before they will consider me (I'm 37).
any ideas or do you think I'm fighting a loosing battle?..................
