I went 6 years ago this month and found it cheap too but i always forgot the tax, its annoying. And you have to tip pretty much everything. be careful with the driving too, we found it to be quite bad. On our first night we drove past like 5 crashes. Other than that its great. Enjoy!

Let me know how it is, my friend is staying in that place but in june. I stayed in southern dunes last time but if i was to go back id stay on international drive. You might find it easier to just use shuttle buses unless you're going way out. I think your accommodation is right beside universal studios
3. Thats true, i always forget about landlords! We were always so lucky with ours especially considering we had 2 staffies and some people dont have the best opinion of the breed. Maybe the landlord would allow a cat if he had a chat
4. As much as i usually dont like agreeing with parley, a pet might be a good idea. Having my 2 dogs to walk helped me a lot when i was depressed. They are there for cuddles too
5. Dont worry about that! Focus on the health first and once you're a bit better maybe you could go along to one of those meet up groups? Theres some cool ones and it doesnt havw to be a expensive day or anything, im going to go to one here to try make some new friends too
6. Wow that sounds amazing!! You've been to more places than i have. I was desperate to go to the enchanted forest, one of my school mates helps with it but the tickets are out. I hope you enjoy the cairngorms and edinburgh
7. Transfer it over into a aussie account or you could even keep it in a uk account if you want and get a statement. Definitely dont take it all in cash if thats what you meant. Your food and clothes arent safe in hostels, never mind money
8. Yeah you need a RSA. £480 is a good price imo. I doubt you'll het cheaper. I booked through sta travel and mines worked out 540 i think. That was a flight to singapore for a few nights then a flight to sydney
9. Gumtree is quite a big thing over there for jobs. If you do struggle to find a job in sydney then a good backup plan might be working in a country pub or au pairing if you like chikdren. I worked in 2 country/outback pubs and it was a good experience. I saved $3000 in 6 weeks the first time.. the second time saving didnt go as well haha. If you have any other questions then give me a shout. Have a great time, it goes in so quickly. I wish i could do mine again now
10. Hey charlie I used go walkabout for my trip. I didnt have to claim but they seemed fine and had a good reputation. It worked out less than £200 if i remember correctly and that included other countries on top of australia. I didnt have a return ticket either. I think you'll be okay for jobs, some of my friends found it easier to find work there than other areas. People are always leaving etc. Try some agencies and definitely gumtree
11. If i remember right you hadnt been back in the uk for a long tine till now? It could just be a mix of feelings. Like someone else said - think about where you want to be when you're older. Enjoy the rest of your holiday and see how you feel after a few weeks of being back. You might settle back in australia. If you did decide to move to scotland/england after looking at jobs then i can give you the names of some autism services if you wanted, i work for one. Where have you been in scotland so far? Hope you enjoy the rest of your time
12. Ive been in a similar position with jobs and it does really get you down. End up feeling worthless, you arent though. Like bungo mentioned - forget about girls. You'll meet one that wont be put off that you're going through a rough time but the most important thing is your mental and physical health. Maybe think about going to another psychologist, there might be one that you'll find easier to talk to
13. Im really sorry to hear this Jack, please dont give up. Could you go back and speak to another doctor? Things will get better
14. Yeah ive noticed its really cheap. It seems to be that all the time atm but it wasnt january 2014 when i went to london. It was working out £60 but i got a megabus for 30 return. Now im looking and its £20 return. Its the exact same with dublin. Im going to go to one or both next year
15. Where i live theres a fair amount of english people, usually from the south. I think if someone likes scotland and they can find work then its a no brainer since they can get a really nice house for much cheaper. Once on the train im 40 mins to glasgow, 50 to edinburgh. Its 4.5 hours on the train to london or a short flight so its not far.
16. Its disgusting especially the rape story
17. I found it really clean, they had a private cleaner in the morning rather than just a receptionist doing it. I stayed there longer than i intended to. Only thing i didnt like was top bunk, really unsteady and no bit to stop me falling out  Think it worked out to be $26 per night. Yha is $29 with yha discoubt, really expensive compared to some places. If they dont find a hostel online that they like the look of then airbnb might be best till they rent. Single rooms when i looked were around $150 if i remember correctly
18. Yep its expensive! Its better to just rent a room or maybe even use airbnb. Hostels can be a bit annoying long term unless its a really good one. I could have stayed in the witches hat long term, it was more like a house
19. Ive heard brisbane can be hit or a miss for work. Theres quite a lot of pubs, cafes etc so just hit them with resumes. Try gumtree too
20. The witches hat was a nice one but im not sure if they do private rooms. I dont think private room and cheap really go together in australia. YHA definitely do private, i think they are 60 or 80 a night. Theres the old swan barracks and emperors crown, they might have some. Whatever you do.. avoid the hive.
21. I guess it was different back then. Now australia seems to be trying to cut down on immigration so i doubt they would want all the poms fleeing over lol. I admit its a nice idea though, id go for a few years! The aussie backpackers in london would like it too i guess!
22. Id say probably november. I arrived november the 6th and i had a job within 2 weeks but that was at a country pub, not a city. I think jumping straight into february temps might have been too much for me too. Although there might be more jobs in feb if thats when the students go back
23. The amount of people ive read saying about this on facebook not long after the brexit result. As things came out like the nhs lies, one facebook friend seemed to hold on to it like it was the only positive thing. It will never happen
24. Things are different these days, people are deciding to go travelling later and later. Most people i met were 26-30 and i know a few people who are over 30 and would like to do something like that. So it would work out well for some people, its not just "kids", i dont consider myself one. If id went travelling aged 18-20 i dont think id have had half as good a time. However if australia is having a bad time then i can see why adding more people might not be the best idea. Be interesting to see how the next few years go
