We have applied for our citizenship last October and travelled for a month last March. We just specify it in our application. Interestingly, we got our invite for the test a week after we arrived. But make sure you are here in Australia for the test and interview.

Hi @Chris in Bris, ours was applied on 13 October and we just received our email for the test invite in end May. Do not lose hope. I am pretty sure you will get your test invite soon.

Those stamps in your passport will help. That is what I did last time.

Looks like things are moving for those who applied in August 2017. We applied October, I hope we get a test invite in May/June.

Mine is going 5 months from application. I think I need to just park it for now and do not let myself stressed on the waiting time. @Keep me in oz congrats on your test date, we should have listened to you before but got scared to apply last May. That's life.. we just have to wait and hope that we get the test invite by April/May.

Not really sure about my answer, but as far as I know, your daughter should stay here for 4 years, with less than 12 months overseas.

Very true. The drop in Citizenship pledges were because of the long wait to dump the proposed bill and the huge backlog it created. We wasted more than 5 months before we were able to submit our application. Now, we don't even know when can we get an invite for the test. And I feel sad for those who already passed the test but couldn't get the approval or ceremony dates even if they applied before April.

Was told by my friend that someone from QLD got his ceremony date for Australia day. The guy applied in July last year. Really don't know why there are discrepancies in the processing. Might have something to do with location I guess..

AnneOz used that form for corrections on her application. Try reading the earlier post from 1-2 days ago of this thread. She mentioned on what to do with it. I will quote it here for easy reference: "Click Visa application in Q12 and then Q16, Visa Class: Citizenship. I left Q15 empty as not a visa application but a citizenship application. That's what I did with mine. You also attach the Form to your citizenship application in Immi online account so it is assumed the attached document relates to your citizenship application. "

Try submitting Form 1023 to correct it.

I left that blank since I cannot remember the date anymore. It mentions if known, so I just left it blank.

Hi @AnneOz so did you still indicate your minor offence in the citizenship application? My husband had one minor parking offence with Parks Victoria, we did not appeal and paid the fine. I wonder whether we should have declared it.

Hi Elliot, I don't think it matters if you are overseas when your PR was granted. the calculator is just a guide, try to adjust the 2 days in advance to cover for your travel overseas (make it 8/05/2017). Hope that helps.
