Below is the update for my citizenship. Still waiting for my partner's approval in IMMI. But we both passed the test last Tuesday. Date applied: 13 October 2017 State: VIC Online / Paper: Online Date received the acknowledgement email: 13 October 2017 Received email re citizenship test: 13 April 2018 Date of the Citizenship Test: 29 May 2018 Immi Approval: May 31, 2018

Hi @CowlingAFC I received an acknowledgement as soon as I submitted our application online.

I have prepared those documents prior to my citizenship lodgement. No need to wait for the 20th June.

Hi Sarah I sent a filled out FORM 929 to the Immigration to let them know about my new passport including a photocopy of the new passport photo page. My VEVO has showed my new passport before our holiday, so I had no issues last Month when we had our holiday. I have been reading the Common Bond booklet to ready ourselves for the test. Our test date was more than a month after the test invite, but I am not complaining. I am happy to know our application is moving. I can't wait to sit on the test. Congratulations again

Congrats @AnneOz, our test date is end May. Did you arrange for an earlier test date? Or that was the original test date given to you?

Just answer the best you can. Both my parents are deceased and provided them their names, country of citizenship and some basic information. I think I put Not applicable to some items including passport details.

@Lopezjose7 please note that there are 2 applications that needs to be done, the nomination application from your employer, and the 186 visa from your side. You can either wait for the nomination to be approved before you lodge your 186 visa, or you do it in parallel with the nomination.

Hi @whtzau, I am based in Melbourne.

My husband is also in IT, he got a job 7 months after we arrived here. Not that easy because he already held a higher position in another country and they find his skillset overqualified for most of the roles he applied. Plus the fact that Aussie companies want local experience. Good thing, one small company hired him for his attitude, and he still works with them for 5 years now. Not a big company that pays so much, but the work environment is more important to him. I hope you get a job soon @Brucolino

I am sure your test invite will come out soon as I am seeing a lot of October and even November applicants getting the invite. Check your spam emails too, 2 of my friends got their email in their Spam mailbox.

Congrats @Epistat99. That is quick. Our test date is in end May. I did not bother to change it as we still have not reviewed the booklet yet. Looks like they are now doing Oct/Nov applicants.

@whenwillthisend when did you apply? I think we got a similar timeline. We applied October 13, and got a test invite this May 29. I hope you hear something back from them too.

I think you can still add documents in your application thru your IMMI account. If I were you, I would re-upload the original documents so they can consider that in reviewing your application.
