  1. Hi, your query is about your 887 visa, which is a regional skilled visa. This thread is for Citizenship application, which is not related to your query. The Administrator of this Forum might help to put your question in the right thread.
  2. As mentioned in your message, you must have lived in Australia for 4 years with no more than 12 months outside the country and have not been out of the country for more than 90 days before applying. You have to wait til August 2020 to satisfy the 4 years and your out of the country travel should not be more than 12 months, otherwise, you may need to wait longer. Please note that this is as per the current rules. You can use the link to determine your eligibility: https://www.homeaffairs.gov.au/trav/ente/retu/residence-calculator
  3. Hi @VERYSTORMY, thanks for this information. Will try to ring them this week.
  4. Hi @VERYSTORMY, who did you ring to get it done quickly? Our ceremony is August 9, and we have a holiday on August 16, we only have 4 working days to apply for passport. I wonder if we can do the same as what you did?
  5. Just download the Our Common Bond booklet and read chapters 1-3 and you'll be good. Some people tend to study longer, some don't. You can also try this link for some mock tests: http://www.aussiecitizenshiptest.com/free-test/1
  6. I called the hotline and they told me the same thing, miss the ceremony and they will put me in the next ceremony date. I think that is the most likely scenario for us. We are lucky to finish the whole application in 10 months, and a few more months of waiting for the next ceremony will probably won't hurt.
  7. We already checked that with APO, the 2 days is just the processing + delivery from Austpost to APO. We have a very small window and do not want to miss our holiday as it was booked months ago.
  8. Once we attend the ceremony, our current passport is no longer valid. We need AU passport to travel overseas.
  9. Hi, We received our ceremony invite for August 9. My concern is that we are travelling overseas for a short holiday on August 16, I am not sure if we can get a passport that soon for our travel. Best guess is we skip the ceremony and move it for the next ceremony date.
  10. Yeah, we are going for an 8 days holiday next month and we informed the case officer about it, so I am guessing our ceremony will be Australia day 2019. Let's keep each other posted again, Haha! Cheers! ?
  11. I see. I got mine in 2 days, but husband got his approval in 20 days. I am sure you'll be fine. Just wait for it and we're off for the ceremony. ? Glad to see our 186 batch getting citizenship approvals. It feels great to see that we are now at the last step towards our ultimate goal of being an Aussie. Haha!
  12. @bennyluk hi mate! nice to see you here, and glad that you already passed your test. Just wait for few days and you'll receive your approval soon. ?
  13. You can probably scan it and print a copy once you already have your interview and test, and maybe show your new license as well. You can also bring some utility statements to show your proof of address.
  14. Congrats @whenwillthisend. You can download the Our common bond booklet and read all chapters 1-3. You can also use this link if you like: http://www.aussiecitizenshiptest.com/free-test/1
  15. Welcome back @AnneOz! Congratulations on your ceremony. ?
  16. Hi @ramot the interview is just a casual conversation with the officer. They will just ask about the documents that she brought and they will just confirm some details and scan the documents. After that she will be asked for her photo taken and that's it. All the best on her citizenship test.
  17. Congratulations @Sheila. I wonder what happened to Elliot, he did not come back for updates.
  18. Congrats on your test invites. Are you from India? If yes, I think @coolmotu only showed his passport as proof when he went for his test.
  19. I just noticed some of those who applied March and April last year were held up for approval after their test done. I hope they get their approval soon. And I hope some November applicants would provide their input as well if they were able to get a test date. I only rely on the excel timeline sheet to know the trend, but if some will not provide their information, it will be difficult to know the processing time.
  20. If that was a short trip like ours, then you should be able to get an invite as you are already here. Did you contact your agent who applied for your citizenship in your behalf?
  21. How long are you away? That might be the reason why you did not get an invite yet. From what I know, you have to be here to get a test invite. We also went overseas for 1 month, and we received our test invite 1 week after we arrived back in Australia. For the test invite email, it depends if your agent put his email address to notify on the invite.
  22. Did you check your spam emails? Sometimes the email goes there, just make sure you check it as well. I hope you get your test invite soon.
  23. That's really cool! you also got your approval straight away. I think it really depends on the case officer. Mine was approved 2 days later, my husband took 20 days. Congratulations!
  24. Congrats. What a big relief.. Now, time to wait for approval and Ceremony invite.
