Hi @faol, it means a case officer is looking at your file and your grant is coming soon.. they told me the same thing earlier I am happy to announce that I got my PR GRANT just 35 mins ago. I am so happy! I called them earlier and they told me that I have a case officer, same thing as what they told me last week.. And I did not expect to get it later today. The long wait is over! 192 days of wait is over.. Below is my timeline again: Nom Date: July 31, 2015 ; Nom Grant: Feb 10, 2016 Visa Date: Aug 14, 2015; Visa Grant: Feb 22, 2016 Couple, from HR country 457 to TRT.

Called them up last week, the number is stated in your visa application acknowledgment letter. They told me mine has a CO allocated but no news yet on my visa grant.

Congratulations to those who got their PR! Been swamped with work so I was not able to catch who got their approval. I think I saw Ricky. Been waiting for PR grant still.. I hope they give it soon. I believe they are already in 3rd week of August.

Some were asked documents and got their grants after only a few days.. So just be positive that it will all turn out fine and your PR is not that far.

That is my assumption as well that both gets to be looked at the same time. But I have not heard any request for docs or anything.. So, I am hoping that they just try to finish off early Aug first before they grant mine.

Not sure mate, because some here in the forum have about the same timeline as mine, where nom is July and visa is Aug but they got the approval for both at the same time. Mine did not get approve at the same time.. So I am hoping it comes this week as I reached more than 6 months on my visa.

Called up DIBP to ask for an update.. They told me they are still working on Early-Aug applications.. But they volunteered to check my visa status and the lady told me it has been allocated to a Case officer. So hopefully, mid-AUG will get grants soon.

Are you on a transition stream 186 visa? Because in the application for 186 visa, it says there you have to work with your employer, who is sponsoring you, for another 2 years. Technically, you should be staying with them for another 2 years.. but that does not stop you from getting a job elsewhere... The main concern there is it will impact those who will be sponsored by your company in the future because they might think that they will only work for them just to get a PR and then leave.. in this case, your own brother. Try to speak to your employer, together with your brother that he really has the intention to stay with the company even after PR grant. Maybe, they will see the sincerity and give your brother a chance..
