    There is must be a timeframe for asio department or whichever their internal department who look after the cases. So atleast visa applicant can wait till that time end rather than keep waiting and calling immi/MA

    Looks like September month is the 'worst' month of 2015 year in terms of 186 application. Hope immi will shade some lights and clear all backlog files before end of this month.

    Yes, there are financial year quota exist, however who told you for 2 more months. I remembered last year (2015) and last to last year (2014) plenty of VISA granted in first week of July looks like PR showering. you can check previous pages for the first week of July 2014 & first week of July 2015. As far as I remembered CO's works on pending applications (backlogs) in June/July month.

    I think ozdream said in earlier post that he stop paying tax for 3 months if that's true then might be immi office want to double check why he stop paying tax. Hopefully his boss will give valid reason and ready to pay the taxes then ozdream will get PR soon. (finger crossed)

    It's all depending on COs work load. sometime it takes less than 2 weeks sometime more than 2 weeks, its very difficult exactly how many days will take.

    That means your friend application is assigned to one of Team where more than 2 (may be more 10 or 50) co's. if one of the CO took your friend application then that co will grant PR or may request extra docs.
