Were are trying for the same thing. It's going to cost another £1500 I believe and approx 6 months to sort a visa out for our baby if we don't fly by the 12th August.

We're heading to the Gold Coast first. I'm also accepting the fact I might be cleaning swimming pools or working in a shop. I will try my dammed hardest to get my family away from the life we have here in the uk. I'm also a qualified chippy and tiler too if that helps the situation? ive also brought absolutely everything with us for our home so won't want for anything. I have a nice bit of money too so hopefully I'll be ok.

Ive spent the same to move my family and am fully aware that it will be hard but I would be working for the $19 an hour or doing anything to make it work.

Anyone having or had mixed feelings about the move!
Nickandpaula replied to Jilldesp's topic in Aussie Chat
I feel like this all the time and it tends to be after reading about people who have regretted the move or are on there way back to the uk. I try not to read these threads now and focus on our friends that are in Newcastle and Brisbane, both are completely settled and are having the time of their lives. We are going to try and get our citizenship as a minimum as if it does not work out this time around, things may be different when were older. Stay positive! -
If you going with a permanent residency then you are all covered. Something still need paying for if your not going PR then you will need private health insurance

My pals been in Newcastle nearly a year now and they could not get a rented property without paying 6 months up front. I know its not the same for everybody but you never know

I would imagine people posting in the April 189 visa thread?

Nickandpaula replied to tiffanysamantha85's topic in Shipping and Removals
All of our stuff was vacuum bagged and then placed in to the removal company's boxes -
We had our medicals today, all went very well apart from me having to do a couple of wee samples due to having to much sugar in!

Hi, I attended in August 2014, it was very easy basic stuff you should have no problem with. Basically a blank wall with a heater manifold to connect to, a bit of drainage, sanitary, hot and cold after lunch we had the theory for a couple of hours which consists of chatting about the questions and answers. Nothing to worry about The only thing I believe you would have a problem with would be working as an apprentice for a year transferring your qualifications over whilst on poor money

I have been doing my application as fast as I could and I've gone over a year now

I am a plumber and have achieved full marks for my age and job experience but that only gave me 50points, I had to sit and receive a 7 at least to be able to apply

Hi, we are in the same boat as you but have carried out a couple of your questions westpac is one of the 4 big banks and is the only one in London, cracking service which is free if your wages go in to it. You also earn 2.5% on it too iirc for the removals we found Santa Fe absolutly fantastic. Full 20" container was £3750 door to door. You cannot lift a finger, they spent 2 days indervidually wrapping every item. Very professional. You can also rent parts of a container hope this helps
