  1. Hope this helps. We submitted April 17 2014 and received an email saying it would be 8 - 9 months to process. We received my husbands visa exactly 9 months later (last week). I believe the process time is now 12 - 14 months. I would get your police check and health check as late as possible. They will advise you when you should get it done anyway. My husband had his health check done the 05 August 2014 and our activation date for visa is 05 August 2015. Also because we've been together 8 years and have 2 children we've skipped the temporary visa and he's been granted an indefinite visa. Good luck everyone!!
  2. Hi all, I'll be migrating to Aussie with my family in the next few months. Is there anything I should shock up on. For instance should I go to primark and stock up on kids clothes?? I've always thought Aus is expensive for clothes. I will be stocking up on Yorkshire Gold and Bisto
  3. Hi LKC, My husband has just received his visa and we'll be looking for shipping company very soon. Please could I have the name of company you used so I can avoid. I've tried to PM you but it won't go through. Cheers!
  4. It would get you plenty around Brisbane as well.

  6. We'll be adding to the invasion as soon as possible. It's so expensive here. My youngest sons bedroom is 2m x2m...for us to move up to the next house on the ladder we'd have to have a crazy mortgage that we will probably have to pass on to our kids. My friend has just bought a 4 bed house in crawley down with a garage that you can't actually fit a car in and a strip of grass out the back they call a garden for the knock down price of £480k ($880k). I'm just so grateful that I can come home to Aus and give my son a bigger bedroom
  7. I've looked at North lakes. It is lovely but I really want some space for my kids to run around. I'm fed up with having to take them somewhere to stretch their legs. My dream would be enough space for them to ride a bike around. That's why ningi and caboolture looked so appealing. My oldest will be starting school in 2016 so a happy balance between space and schools will be the goal. I'll be checking out all those areas. Thanks again for your suggestions.
  8. Hi guys, thanks so much for the advice. Everything I've heard about Caboolture you've all confirmed...and NIngi is a hole (that made me smile). I'm from Brisbane/Sunshine Coast but have been living in the UK for 13 years. Caboolture was always a dump but I thought it may have changed...drastically. I don't want to bring my husband to Australia and scare the crap out of him by moving to boganville. Narangba on paper and from what you all say is the best place.
  9. Hi all, I'm be moving to the Brisbane area in the not to distant future. I've been looking at the above areas and would love to hear from anyone that knows them. I really love the look of Ningi because it's so close to the beach, Narangba because of the great schools and Upper Caboolture because of the house prices. Do we go for life style, schools or price? Any advice would be great. Thank x
  10. Hi Elven, so sorry to hear about your dad. I hope your sister is ok when you tell her. When do you think you'll be leaving? We should have our visa by January. The Gold Coast is really beautiful...Coolangatta absolutly gorgeous. Good luck x
  11. Thanks for the warm welcom. I'd love to live on the sunshine coast but realistically it'll be Brisbane. I've been looking at the caboolture/ narangba or even ningi areas. It's taken me 8 years to convince my hubby to make the move. His family are gutted but we have to do what's best for our family.
  12. Hi all, I'm hoping to be moving back to Australia with my family in the next 6 months. I'm originally from New Zealand and my family moved to Australia when I was 3yrs old. I grew up in Brisbane and the Sunshine Coast. I then came to the UK when I was 26 traveling and never left. It's been 13yrs and I'm now married to a pom and have 2 little boys. We've applied for the partner migration visa as I'm a eligible new zealander. I can't wait to come home!!
