  1. Hi there, You can use this calculator: http://www.mygration.com.au/points-calculator It doesn't matter whether it's MBA or not - you can get extra points for PhD or an Australian degree, not for MBA. Also, don't forget to check SOL list - ensure your husband's profession is demanded in Oz.
  2. Got my grant today - 3+ months since I lodged my visa. Mostly because of Indian PCC - I used to live/work in India for a short while, and getting any paperwork done there is a real, real nightmare (I guess you can change your last name back and forth in developed country, while India is looking up your criminal records) Melbourne, see you soon!
  3. I guess lately people receive invitations within 7-14 days. It's quite fast.
  4. Congratulations ;-)) I'm still waiting for DIAC's decision regarding my Indian PCC, its absence in particular. I used to live in India for a couple of years, and it's nearly impossible to get an Indian PCC, especially if you are already outside the country.
  5. Normally they should count from January 2011 - the moment you graduated (and thus became a qualified specialist). If you are lucky though, they may even count from July 2010.
  6. I got my ACS confirmation without any payslips - based solely on reference letters. I assume normal (non-certified) copies are fine...
  7. Hi Marcio Andre! Your confirmation letter from ACS should contain "The following employment after <month> <year> is considered to equate to work...". I suspect that's exactly how they are going to count your work experience? Starting from the moment when you became (in ACS' perception) a skilled worker.
  8. Of course I don't mind ;-) It's 261313 (Software Engineer)
  9. I don't think it matters when one got invited. I think it's safe to assume there is some kind of sorting/priority - professions that are more hot at the moment, number of points, age, language skills, etc? Or maybe the officer had nothing to do and picked a random case... ;-)
  10. Applied for visa just 3 days ago, and today already got a message from my CO! ;-) Anybody here as lucky as I am?
  11. What about "Recent Graduate of an Australian University wanting experience considered" application type? If you apply as "Recent Graduate", you are definitely not getting any extra points for work experience - it's very clear.
  12. Got my invite in October, but applied for visa just 3 days ago - on December 2nd ;-) Did the medical assessment today - very quick and easy. Getting police clearance records ("evidence of good character") is going to be much more complicated though - here in Asia it's super slow and requires a lot of paperwork ;(
  13. As far as I know, ACS doesn't consider neither CCNA nor MCP. At least CCNP and MCSE. It was mentioned in one of the ACS tutorials...
