  1. Congradulations for today's lucky winners!!!!!!!!!! mine submitted 16 march with 60 points. No luck in this round too. definatly in next round!!!!
  2. Last day I met a friend who work for NT government and he is part of the Immigration. As per him they have STOP all 190 and 489 visa for all IT categories.
  3. though it will not a problem for skill assestment, if you claim any points for IELTS, then you must do it again. reason is that the documents MUST valid at the time of Invitation.
  4. you MUST provide, 01. Reference letter or Service certificate furthur, you MAY provide Salary Slips, work contract etc.
  5. I'm sure swimwiththedolphins, you got the Invitation last day. I agree that the people with 60 should at least wait a full selection round. This is based on past three selection round stats.
  6. there is no such statistic readily available, but I saw last time they have givin nearly 55 places for 263111 . I have arrive this figure by comparing last two updates. When was your EOI effect date ?
  7. I'm in same category and 60 points. Expect invitation in next round. it has been given nearly 60 invitations under 26311 in last round and occupation selling is not reach.
  8. Ok. let me put it on this way. First of all I’m not an immigration advisor , but just a visa applicant as of you. so all these are only my views. You have Law Degree and your partner is in Aeronautical. Good. Now with regard to change to career to IT and move to ausi will be a headache. I myself a IT Professional , but struggle. Last time NSW has stop IT guys to apply for it's State nominations indicating they have received more than 80% application in IT. So this will give you a hint. OT is might a good choice than IT :-X with regard to the migration under skill migration category, i would say you should have at least 12 month of experience for the nominated skill for skill assessment. Obviously both of you will received 15 marks for education and 30 marks for Age . I believe both you could manage at least 7.o in IELTS which will give you another 10 points minimum. all together 55 and then you are lack for 5 additional mark which you can get under the state sponsorship. So better to research on CSOL on various states. This will allow you to get 189 Visa. Since your family also there you could defiantly show a good tie to nominated state. cheers
  9. there is no MUST requirement you to show a job offer. But it will provide you a better chance to go through. Since you have applied under 489 and Social Worker, there is a chance stand for you. They will take only 3 weeks maximum 24 days.
  10. 01. First you have to change in SkilSelect preferred state as NT and then to apply NT for state nomination. Upon receiving the nomination from NT , your skillselect will also automatically update and will lead to Invitation. 02. No , you can not. But if you are the only childran in family, you may proceed with the declaration from your father.
  11. yes, they have recognized as a Australian Diploma , so that can claim 10 points
  12. Logged your application as Skilled and provide all evidence. At the middle of evaluation if the ACS feel that you have lagged with the relevant qualification they will give you an option to change the application type to RPL and then t submit the RPL. This happen to me. So most likly they will not assest your BA toward the skill employment. (OK what will happen they will state in your letter that the BA and MBA is equivalent to Bachelor so you can claim 15. But the date of skill employement will be something lesser. )
  13. Does he need to complete an Expression of Interest? No , First step is choosing the right Visa catogary. If it is a skill migrant 189 or 190. For this you have to check whether your profession is in SOL. If it is in SOL, you can apply for 189 which is PR / no restriction, mean that you can live and work in anywhere in Ausi. But you have to score 60 points in Skill point test. If your profession is not in SOL , still you can go for 190 which is state sponsored category. The pro side is you will get 5 additional marks for point test. Con is you have to live and work for first 2 years in sponsored state. Upon finalization that , you have to logged Skill assessment with ACS. This assessment will give green light for your profession as well as for the experience years. Then with the outcome of the assessment you may logged the EOI (Expression of Interest) . Since you in Iralnd you don't need to sit for IELTS, but of you lagging with the points , obviously you can go for IELTS and score 7.0 or more in each to qualify for points. What is the starting point - do we really need a Migration Agent or if his job is listed on the SOL is it a fairly straight forward VISA application? Mentioned above, Yes if it is SOL bit strait forward. Which Visa do we need to apply for under the SOL? 189 Do we also need state sponsorship? State sponsorship required only for 190 Finally, does he need to get a job prior to actually getting the Visa.? No , not required.
  14. No you haven't done anything wrong. As the experience slabs are in 3 years , 5 Years and 8 years.
  15. First , if you apply under either 189 or 190 , you must have positive skill assessment. When you do the skill assessment , the assessing authority will indicate the eligibility of work experience under the skill category you select. With that you could determine how many years you could claim. If you have lag with the points , you could change the category to 190 subclass , which is state sponsor . (For this you're job should list under the COSL). Then you could earn another 5 Marks. Those are the options i could see, assuming you are not doing IELTS for band 8 (Each). I also have same concern and waiting for skill assessment results.
  16. Thanks rupet. In this case, i'll falling under 190 right? So, do i need to apply for state sponsorship on this?
  17. My profession is listed under the COSL and i belive i have required Marks without State Sponsorship. Age - 30 IELTS - 20 Degree - 15 Experience - 10 So my question is should i apply under 189 or 190 ? (My profession is not under SOL, but in CSOL)
  18. Hi, shakun, I'm also in same qualification and in process of assessment. Could share experience with you. Send me a PM
  19. You have a point over here. Of-cause you can apply interdependently and save lot of money. BUT before do so, do read all related pages in Skill Select. You can get assessment information from http://www.anmac.org.au/international-services
  20. No, you can't . For that you should have a different assessment. (This happen to one of my friend. Same scenario)
  21. As you said that five year of experience may substitute the formal qualification requirement, but that should be done by the assessing authority. When you are applying for assessment you may submit the certifications which you all has where assessing authority will give the clearance on certification too. I have feeling that you may get 10 points for the certifications, but have serious doubt about getting 15 marks for employment. So some options may avialble to you is to claim points over the spouse eligibility. But i would say that do not calculate your points on experience as 15. Also if you are applying for the state sponsorship, remember they are asking post-qualification experience. I'm in also a doubt that how they are calculating the post-qualification experience when candidate has only the experience not formal qualification. Maybe someone in this forum could give answer on same.
  22. Hi all I am Network Engineer who has been working for 11 years. I have no bachelors degree , but many of vendor qualification Including CCNP and MCSE. As state in ANZSCO "....Five years experience may substituent formal Qualification", it should be possible to get evaluate my skill. No My issue is > If i received positive assessment from ACS , how many years can i claim for work Experience? > In case "Post-Qualifications" , how the term going to apply in my scenario? Lasanga
