  1. Hi everyone. I had already submitted EOI for Accountant in September with 60 points, but due to lower occupational ceiling this year, chances of getting an invite are pretty slim. So I was considering whether it would be wise to submit another EOI, after getting another skills assessment from a different assessing authority, for external auditor. Now the occupational ceiling for external auditor has been reached for current year, but may be I might have a chance next year (2016-2017). I do realize there might be a significant back log of applications for even this occupation. So, should I do it? regards
  2. Thank you CaptainC. But wouldn't it give them an impression that I'm not committed to that state?
  3. OK thanks. But can lodging EOIs for multiple states affect negatively on my overall application ? Or on an application of a single state?
  4. I have looked into that. Thanks a lot for updating me.
  5. You mean I cant include more than one states in one EOI?
  6. Thank you so much captainC. I really appreciate how much time you take out to help others. Now as I have already lodged an EOI for NSW, would I have to lodge a new EOI for this state?
  7. Hi I am interested to know about Northern Territory(NT). I came across their skilled occupation list and found Accountant General there, and I could not find any additional requirements for this occupation. So does that mean a person with positive skills assessment from relevant authority for general accountant and language test, is eligible to apply for this occupation for NT even without any work experience? Regards
  8. I don't have enough experience, neither can I claim points for whatever experience I have. If everything goes well, I will have 60 points for external auditor or accountant (189)
  9. I have discovered that I can only have one skills assessment from CPA so if I change my ANZSCO code to Auditor, I will have to forego my accountant skills assessment. So if I apply for an accountant fir 189 and 190, and I get rejected for 190, my EOI will still be in pool for 189. So now I have to select either the accountant or auditor. Another worrying trend is since many people are considering changing their anzsco code to external auditor, I am afraid by the time (if) I get reject for 190, most of the places for auditor might be filled.
  10. Ok but assuming that I will definitely get the positive skills assessment for external auditor after the invitation, that is still false declaration?
  11. Thanks. I am considering applying as an external auditor, not an internal though. I have another question, is it possible to lodge an EOI before getting a positive skills assessment for external auditor? Like I'll apply for both accountany and auditor, and if I get an invitation for external auditor first, then I'll change my ANZSCO cide to external auditor through CPA.
  12. thanks, I read somewhere that one can submit as many EOIs as he/she desires. Is that right?
  13. OK so how does this plan sound to you?(Its pretty much what you suggested): I will hopefully submit EOIs for NSW SS and 189 for General Accountant in August, and then I will sit the academic IELTS in September and hopefully submit EOIs for NSW SS and 189 for External Auditor in late September.
  14. I mean do you think all the places will be filled by September or October? Considering how last year they were still not filled at the end of the financial year.
