How did you know your application was not subjected to security checks? It is possible they conducted it and got quick response from your country,because i could see your application took 3 months.Also it is possible you front loaded your form80. Cheers.

Hi Uma,my application has also been subject to external checks,don't know since when same commenced though. Pls am trying to determine the reason for subjecting applications to external checks and the major reason we have discovered is age,that is, any applicant from 35 years and above are subjected to security checks. For example, I am 37,I will like to know your age to enable us further assess our hypothesis on this subject. Thank you.

Viking,I now believe my guess is right and hope that a lot of applicants that are going through or that went external checks could declare their ages here to enable us confirm our belief or guess or theory as the case may be. I am also 37 and undergoing external checks,no criminal record though. I hope to hear good news very soon inshaallah. I think why such checks are imperative is just for the DAIC to be sure that an applicant that old has not committed any crime,which could be the reason for wanting to leave his or her country of origin having lived there for that long. Hi Nwokenna,am also a Nigerian and applied on 18th May.However,I,ve not received any employment verification calls,even after calling one of my previous employers.Did your CO tell you that your application is undergoing security checks and did you apply from Nigeria? The previous employer contacted,is it located in Nigeria? I wish you good luck.

I think you could suggest to him to look at the medical link and let you know what it says.Also inform him that if it has changed to "No health examinations are required for this person for this visa subclass based on the information provided to the Department of Immigration and Citizenship.",then you are good to go.That is,your grant is around the corner.Cheers.
