  1. Hi and thanks a lot for our response. It makes sense more now, coz my only concern was I was living in Duba prior to my move and as there is no tax there, I had a concern that ATO will ask me to pay taxes for that income. I read everywhere that the only taxable income is the one after one moves in to Australia, not prior to that. The question is then, will they pay me Family Taxrebate for the whole year or only for the period since I moved in to Australia?
  2. Hello guys, As I moved in late December 2013 to Australia as a new immigrant, I was wondering if my income overseas should be claimed for tax purposes. I applied for family tax benefit, and they asked me to state my income overseas for the claim to get processed. now I thought any income before moving to Australia is not considered and any counters are set from the date we move in. Any thoughts from people having similar situation? I am afraid now that they charge me for taxation for the money I made in those 6 months overseas....!!! Cheers.
  3. Dears, I am looking to transfer an amount of money with me to Oz as part of our move to Australia. My question is, is this amount taxable? How does the Australian Tax system treat this money? Will it affect any benefits we receive from the government? Thanks...
  4. Dears, I know many people have asked about this, but I am looking for an updated answer for this question. We got our 189 visa mid August, and now I need to update children passports as new ones are issued, I have contacted the CO but no answer came back. So assuming I fill up the forms 929/1022, where do I send them? I need to do this before I do the landing, so is there a way for this? Thanks in advance.
  5. And Finally on the same day the link disappeared, we got the grant letter.............. wooooooooooooowwwwwwwwwwwwww.... can't believe it till now... hehe.... All the best for you all... 18 months over all.............!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  6. God the grant letter, so I guess the check is over now....
  7. Well the link to my wife's "Organize Medical" is gone today, 14 days after the results were submitted, so hopefully this is a positive sign and we are crossing fingers...
  8. We have the same case, our medicals were submitted through eHealth on Aug 1st and mine and the kids link is gone and my wife's link is still there. Although when I checked with the panel doctor he confirmed that it is rated A but DIAC might do some random selections for some results and review them manually... Its soooooooooooo hard to wait and wait and wait.... hopefully we don't go through the 90 days period as some people claimed that their medicals were cleared in much less than that...
  9. Of course you can contact your CO directly through that email, just write up an email with all details of course case to the team address and indicate in the email SUBJECT the following: CO Name which you can get from DIAC, Your name, DOB, TRN You can also remove your Agent access and revert access to yourself by filling up couple of forms and sending them to the same email address.
  10. I'm trying to check my medical tests status on eHealth query site but it keeps giving me that service is temporarily not a available. Anyone facing same issue, or anyone checked his status lately successfully?
  11. Hey Sandy... Oh how that waiting is painfull, we are into the same situation and it's driving us almost crazy... Can't do any next step unless you get the grant, and yet you see it coming so it's like planning a million plan and then can't do a single thing... hehe Wish you the best anyway, and more importantly wish you the FASTEST response....!!!!
  12. Hi Blossom, Well not yet, didn't hear anything so far... I am not sure if the delay is from the Medical results or as I was reading in some posts comes from High Risk Countries where some people's visas were usually delayed more than the usual timline... anyway, still fingers crossed for some results soon with lots of wakeup at midnight to check mail.... :err:
  13. Dears, We have applied for our 189 visa and all documents are cleared with CO except for Medical. My question is that we have performed out medical with a panel doctor in UAE and it has reached the Australian Embassy in UAE on May 7th as per the FedEx record. Does anybody know how long it takes or has gone through a similar situation for it to reach CO so he can make a final decision on the file? The last time I contacted the CO was 10 days ago and he has not received it yet. So far it's been 2 months and 3 days, and we are not really sure if the delay is from the embassy here to process the reports or it's just normal for the time taken... Of course I tried to contact the embassy but no answer was given on my query.
  14. Their Registered immigration consultant is Emmanuel Solana, whose registration seized on June 7th. I am surprised as they have been so polite, prompt and on time in most times during my file prcoessing. The question is, what's the impact if one regains ownership back on his file and continues from there himself?
  15. I'm using an immigration agent, and they received the request to do medicals. So now the waiting process is a killer... Does processing times vary depending on applicant passport? I see some people processed within days from medical & some people waited months!!!???
