  1. We came from Philippines, we didn't accept any benefits from our government. So therefore, were considered as dependent on my parents.
  2. Did you provide any proof to show that your children that are over 18 is still dependent on you? I arrived here in OZ as a dependent on my dad's 457 visa and I'm 23 at that time. When we started to process our visa, I stopped on my fulltime job to be considered as dependent. My eldest brother which is 24 at that time, go back to full time study. What we provide is a certification from an authorised attorney stating that were still living with my mum, they are the one who provide foods and every day allowances. My brother provide his enrolment form from school and me provide a certification stating that I am still looking for a job.
  3. We've been in this situation too. I am already over 18 and working full time at the time when my dad applied for his PR. But fortunately, my employer sponsored me an RSMS 857 visa. Anyway, I've known a lot same on your situation. What they did, they enrol their son/daughter in TAFE for a short term course and make them work part time temporarily while their visa is on the process to be considered as dependent. After their visa got granted, they back to their full time work.
  4. Hi SonicBlue82, just calm down. Everyone here in forum really understand what you feel at the moment we also been on that situation. We cannot really tell or no one can tell on the processing time of DIAC on our visa application. Just like on my situation before, I lodge my application May 28, 2012 and plan to get married by January 2013 because I thought that I can already get my visa on that time. But it doesn't happen. November already came and haven't heard from DIAC regards with my application. So what I did I secure my bridging visa B, booked my ticket, go home for my wedding and had a very good holiday without even thinking hows my visa application. Until one day, while having my honeymoon I received an email that my nomination got approved and CO asking when I will come back to OZ so that she can finalise my visa. It's really surprise me that everything happen so quick. But at that time, I change status which I told my CO immediately and she is very nice to answer all my queries very promptly. She then put my application again in a queue waiting for us to complete all my husband documents. When everything is complete visa had been granted. So if I were you, be patient enough, calm down, put your mind in peace and pray that everything will be alright. It's just a matter of time. If it's for you, it will really be given to you. Hope you feel good now. Goodluck mate. Cheer up..
  5. Sometimes, it really depends how efficient the CO is who handled your application. Same the case of my dad way back 2011. His nomination and application was lodged together August 2011, by October 2011 his nomination approved. After that no contact from the CO. January 2012, CO emailed for additional documents, so dad immediately processed the necessary documents. February, March, April and mAy had already passed and still no email received from the CO. So what we did, we emailed different people on the immigration that we had on our email list asking any updates on my dad's application. And there is one DIAC staff who had the initiative to forward it to my Dad's co regarding the update we need on their application. After a day, CO emailed us for the secondary installment. We pay immediately and PR granted straight away.. But on my case, when my CO granted my nomination she very efficient enough to look after my case.. And so very quick to reply on all of my queries. And she also give me the date when she is going to finalise my application. So it really depends on the CO..
  6. Congrats!!.. And your long wait is now over..)
  7. Agree with you Jay2012. My husband also provide a certificate from his school from his primary, secondary and tertiary that english is the medium of instruction of the institution and everything is alright..
  8. Thanks Blossom. I never know that. Thanks for the info..
  9. How come that your 457 visa is only good for 1 year? As I know 457 visa is valid for 4 years. And how come that your contract is only for 1 year and no chance to extend and still employer manage to sponsor you that 457 visa. Quiet strange. But anyway, if you have the qualifications, experience and skills you can apply on the skillselect type of visa. To enable you to remain here in Australia.
  10. No, my dad PR had not been refused. It was granted but I wasn't included on his PR. On the time he applied, DIAC automatically deleted my name on the names of the applicants.
  11. Yes, I saw that post from another thread.. My dad applied his PR last August 2011.
  12. So have you already submitted all the documents of your fiance needed by your co?
  13. it's up to you if that is your decision. Yes, while my dad's PR is on the process I also applied my PR sponsor by my company. When my dad apply his PR he also included me, but when we received acknowledgement letter my name wasn't included anymore. And DIAC advise us that I cannot be included to his application as I am working full time.
  14. Have you lodge ur PR application already?? If not, enroll ur son to TAFE and let him work part time temporarily so that he will be considered dependent on you. I don't trust your agent either. When we were on your situation we asked how many agents to help us and most of them suggest us to enroll me on TAFE and work part time. But we don't follow it, instead dad continue to his application without me and I applied on my own visa.
  15. Agree with blossom. When my dad applied his PR, he included me on his application. But when he received his acknowledgement letter my name was not included on the name of applicant. We then contacted DIAC and we was told that children who are over 18 and working full time cannot be included in the application.
  16. Children who are non dependent to their parents cannot be included on PR application. Iv'e known some of the families here that have 20 and over children on the time they apply PR. what they did in order their child to be included in their application, they enroll it at TAFE and provide the enrollment papers to DIAC as proof that their child is dependent to them. I already been in this scenario, and I haven't been successful to be included on my Dad PR as I working full time.
  17. Is ur son working full time?? If so, less chance for him to be included on ur PR application. I am in a 457 dependent applicant before. On the time my dad applied for PR I'm already 23 and working full time and I haven't been included to his application because I'm not considered to be his dpendent anymore.
  18. As long as your son is studying full time and not working full time and living with you, he will still to be considered as dependent on you.
  19. Hi Akanawu, I have been on that situation before. I applied my visa alone, but I'm already in a relationship at that time and haven't included him on my application because we are not on a de facto relationship instead were on a long distance relationship. While my application is on the process I marry him. After our wedding that's the time that my application had been allocated to a case officer. What I did, I emailed my case officer telling her change of status and filled up the form 1022. Then case officer asked for a evidence to prove how genuine and continuous our relationship are. What I submitted are the following: 1. almost 50 photos of the both of us and with families with captions and date. 2. our screen captures photos during our video chat on skype. 3. SMS history on my phone that we communicated each other every day. 4. Chat history in facebook. 5. Payment history of his internet bills account that I am the one paying it some of the time. 6. Records of our money remittances showing that I am sending money to him. This joint statement was signed by both of us and our parents. And also husband was advised to undergone medical, submit PCC. That's all what we did and husband had been included to my application straight away. The only difference on our situation is, while I'm already engage I don't have a co yet. So I don't bother myself to let the department knew the change of my status. I'll let the department know when I already married which is really important to let them know. And luckily on that time we have a co already allocated in my case. But we don't get married just to be include him on my application, we never knew that this is impossible. Or maybe it will depend on your CO?. Our plan of getting married is for the reason that after I get my PR i can apply him for a spouse visa. But everything change that we really don't expect. And everything falls to quicker and much easier way.
  20. How come that your son had not been included on your 457 visa?? does he worked full time already on the time you applied for 457 visa? The only option to enable your son to remain here in Australia is to apply a working visa. But I'm not sure if he is eligible on it. Does your son had a diploma, skills, qualifications and years of experience? if so, he can apply for a working visa.
  21. If your daughter is still in the age of 18 on the time you apply your RSMS visa still she can be included as dependent on your application.
  22. Hi, put some more pictures. 7 pictures is not enough to prove your genuine relationship. Put as many as you can. I've been in this scenario too, during the processing of my visa I get married. After our wedding, I submit form 1022 to the immigration. CO ask some documents from us to enable my husband to be included on my application as a secondary applicant. We're not living together too, but we are in a 3yrs relationship at that time. So what we did, we provide lot of photos almost 50 photos with caption. In caption put the date and occassion and name of people in the photos. Through this you can prove to your CO that you have a genuine relationship, ur relationship was recognised by the society, your parents and friends. We also provide our chat/conversation history in skype, ym at facebook and even sms. We don't have a joint account too, but we provide some of our remittance payment to each other. We also provide the payment statement on his internet bills that i'm the one paying it. Hope this info can help you.
  23. Yeah, I know that 457 visa is really after with your skills and experience, but what I am trying to say is that 457 visa is not the only option he has. He can try some visa if he has a diploma or degree. I'm just sharing my experience to enlighten some people here. Even me, when my employer sponsored me a RSMS visa have no confident that it will be approved because I don't have an experience to provide but I have a diploma. I am a fresh graduate when I came here, that's why I think I'm just blessed to be sponsored and got residency.
  24. You don't need to have a skilled or experience to be sponsor by a company. I am PR now, I don't have an experience when I came here but I have a degree from my country. But my company where I am working right now gave me the sponsorship eventhough I don't have experience. It depends on the company who will sponsor you, on how they will going to prove the DIAC on how your position is genuine and how they badly needed you in their company. So give it a try, try to find an employer who will be willing to sponsor you. Just be positive. There's no harm in trying..
